So my WHM is 66 now and I was wondering when people start to seek out WHMs for HNMs. I was figuring 70 just for R-III, but WHM is all I'm leveling ATM until I get to 71ish, then I'm going to bounce back and forth between WHM and SAM. Personally, I just like to kill shit so drops are kinda like a secondary concern of mine. I do want the Reverend Mail though so as I approach 75 I'd like to meet people that know how to beat him.

Just putting the question out there.

A friend of mine got his whm into an endgame LS at 70, if that helps. It'd probably just be a matter of what jobs an individual LS has in abundance and lacks. I imagine LS's have trouble keeping mage jobs interested in sky due to the "what's in it for me" problem. Yeah, I realize noone admits to being in endgame for their gear ("how can I better my ls" is what you're *supposed* to say), but we know how that goes in reality. As a whm, they'll know you're not in it for the gear, so you'll probably have no problems.

shell's that'll take you before 70 aren't usually that adamant on getting the bigger shit done (no offense)

if you want a good, steady end game LS, wait until 75.

very true

end-game shells are also nesting grounds for drama and has the potential to take all the fun out of the game.be sure you wanna join one before you go rushing into this.

As a WHM you'll have lots of things to attend so make sure you have a majority of your time sinks taken care of ahead of timecuz there may be shit you ned to do in a LS that would make it hard to camp or level at your leisure. If you have a majority of the jobs you already have planned to level to a 50+ you'll be fine, but never forget LS events will rarely work to your schedual each time, and they'll want you there, ESPECIALLY if it is a LS so desperate for WHMs that they'll take one before they even have raise 3.

Its deffinately an experience, and can be alt of fun, but end-game shells are all about people doing stuff they couldn't do otherwise with a small group, and tend to be great for getting merits with and other such things outside of their other NM activities.

Of course, what do I know? I've never been in an end game LS. lol

This applies to any job, really. It's not like whm is special in that you have to attend more events than say a drg or a brd. Everyone knows endgame = huge timesink, because that's what keeps people playing for months after they reach 75.

I'm gonna say you're prolly wrong here. Events cant happen without some form of healing. And as stated earlier, a LS desperate enough for a WHM that cant even raise 3 yet probably has a huge shortage of them, so he would have to show up to EVERYTHING. While there are certain things you really need a BRD for, its more replacable than a WHM.

I've had events get cancelled due to no available WHMs, but not a word is uttered when we are DRG-free.

And you missed the point of what I was saying entirely, good going. Obviously some jobs are going to be more in need than others, my point is that EVERY JOB should be attending endgame events, because no linkshell just hands you stuff for not helping out. Endgame is a time sink, and everyone is expected to help out and attend; he'll be more useful on whm than some jobs, but that doesn't automatically mean he's required to go to everything under the sun.

I got the point, I just used the same jobs as in your example....

He asked about WHM, not about DRG or "EVERY JOB" thats why I answered the way I did. I don't see why you are getting all aggro, I agree its a time sink, I said it already in this thread, I'm just saying a LS with few enough WHM that they would have to recruit lower level ones is probably going to ask him to attend every event under the sun, required or not.

Now how did I miss your point again? Be spicific, don't just say I did.
