on my whm i got my marcos set up basicly on top line and rdms will be on bottom but all ready put them in :3

but on my dispel marco i have <bt>

and on cure i have <st> and erase is <st> etc

but would be useing <t> be better for cure etc not <st> later on right now i am finding it easy hit CTRL1 or 2 and then f1-6 then enter but is there a quicker way
all rdy had some praise on how i am cureing fast party let me take the BC seals for it :P but just wondering what other whms marcos are

Although your WHM is only level 12, and I doubt your RDM is much higher, I'd suggest using just <t> macros, since it's easier and faster to use the F keys and to press the macro. <st> is good for healing aliances and using a controller, because you can just use the up and down macros to target a party member of another aliance.

For your battle target macros I'd suggest having them as <t> and just using a macro (or typing) /ta <bt> when someone pulls a mob. Although this isn't true for dispel, most spells will wake a monster up, so if you pulled a link and use <bt> you'd be pretty screwed if they were asleep. Easy way to get your party into a bigger mess than when you started.

its mainly my debuffs no damgin things on bt like slow is and haste marco dispel
i do not plan on doing any damage in satic we got 4/6 DDs so got enough :P

If You at gonna use <st> type macro's for curing etc. I would recommend using <stpc> as that eliminates the mobs through your toggling.

On my WHM I just use <t> though, since I will hit F1-F6 beforehand and want to cut out that millisecond.

On my RDM I use the <stpc> though since I only have Cure3 macro'd as far as cures are concerned. However, if you are swapping in a staff or something, you will loose your target if you aren't moving fast enough and have to hit it again. It is nice for when I dust off the sword though.

As far as <bt> macro's go.... use your best judgement. I like to keep sleep and gravity/bind on <stnpc> for easier use on links and whatever, while I keep most of my main debuffs on <bt>. However, when using <bt> it will target the last thing you did, so if you just slept something then hit a <bt> macro, you will cast on the slept mob, so you will want to keep something silly as <t> like Drain/Aspir on <t> to quickly switch back to your real target.

I change the macro's around a fair amount, but as a general rule, I use them as stated above. I'm sure other people do it different ways, but what I have set is most efficient for my needs.

never new on <stpc> thanks alot for it i dont want to be cureing a mob (unless undead) thats going to help a bit just so i dont make any mistakes dont want these elvans shouting at me ha ha ha
edit it works a treat i can now use tab too with out worring on cureing a mob and wasting mp

In all my macro sets i always have a specific slot that does this:

/target <bt>

I also have it equip my real gear and swap out resting gear.

I find it very useful to just have all your spells hit the selected target, and worry about targeting it first. If the /target <bt> macro doesnt work right, you can always move to where the other mob is closer and hit F8. I have yet to mistakenly cast on the wrong mob.

Also, <stnpc> macros take up some extra time that could be vital to your tank's survival. For this reason, All my cure macros are also <t> macros. Besides, as a level 12 whm, all you do is spam Cure 1 anyway. I found it much easier to just spam Alt 1 rather than doing Alt1+Enter, Alt1+Enter, Alt1+Enter.... blech. WHM sucks enough as is.

also im doing dia and all the debuffs we got a lazy blm/whm :P well 2 lazy blm one will bio next one will cast poision 3 times trying to make it stick XD

i manually cast refresh haste dispel, and dia, just because there isn't a gear dependency for the potency of the spell. then for debuffs i switch my int/mnd gear (i think right now it's just boots and rings) and the corresponding staff. cures are macroed in. my nukes i switch int gear, +elemental skill, and a staff, then i cast the spell manually. i think that's it for my stuff. i didn't start macroing until in the30s i think. oh convert, elemental seal, and chainspell + x spell is macroed in too.

Personally I use <stpc> on WHM and RDM for heals, refresh, regen, haste, and erase. Fair warnig though, it becomes a bit difficult as Bigboy said once you get into staves, and downright hellish 60'ish and above when everyone has equipment change macros. Nothing funner than when a PLD takes 700+ from a Dragon's Aery Sickle Slash, pops on an Earth Staff and you end up Cure V'ing yourself.

i will be useing light staff probally not a dark but all ways keep one on me :)

I hate all forms of <bt>, <stpc>, <stnpc> etc macros. To me they are more trouble than they are worth. I use <t> for almost everything. I never have trouble targetting the current mob even if there are tons of other mobs around. I just hit the F-key of someone in the pt and tab the approrpriate way to the mob. After playing for so long and always doing it this way, it's faster for me than using <stnpc> and trying to find the mob that way and more reliable than <bt> which will ALWAYS SCREW UP when you get a link and try to sleep it. Can't count the number of times I'm in a pt and a mob links then someone wakes up the sleeping mob because of their <bt> macros.

Once you get to gear swap hell, <stpc> becomes an even worse option since anytime your target is on someone and they swap gear you lose your target completely. For me it's always F#-><t>macro. If they happen to swap gear when I do this I just get an error and just do it again really fast.

Bio and Dia don't stack. BLMs who spam Bio over Dia should be kicked in the nuts until their testicles rupture.

On topic, I just use the F-keys to cure and <bt> for everything but Sleep II.

So far in every single pt I've been in from rdm lvl 25 to 37, either the blm, the drk, or the other rdm overwrites my Dia with Bio until I complain enough and they stop. It drives me batshit crazy. If you want dark skillups just cast Drain and Aspir. :(

yeah a lot of blms don't realize that dran/aspir works even if your hp/mp is full. And i think you can still get skillups from aspir if they have no mp.

I think drain is one of the most efficient dmg/mp spells when you hit with it. Its like 200 damage for 20ish mp?

i found a 12 pld needs a bio on the crabs not a dia :3

I'm a huge proponent of <stpc> for party/alliance targetting and <stnpc> for Nukes, Debuffs, etc.

Generally, I also use an "incoming" macro for my initial targetting and debuffs. It goes something like this:

/as <stpc>
/wait 1
/ma "Debuff1" <stnpc>
.
.
/ma "DebuffN" <stnpc>

(length depending on how many I'm using in this party)

Using that macro will allow you to target one of the melee(tank in all likelihood), wait til you see them draw their weapon, hit enter, and voila! You're auto-targetted to the pull regardless of whether you can see it yet or not, and all your <stnpc> macs will default to the pull since it's what you already have targetted.

For recasts on debuffs, if necessary, I just pick them from my spell list.

Well thanks all your help going to make them and try them out

For all my cure, status removal and party buff macros I use <t> and select players with F1-F6, done it that way since I got cure 2 and couldnt have another 6 macros for cure 2 like I had for cure 1. Its the way I'm used to :)

I've run into that quite a few times myself ><

One tactic that I've found to be fairly effective for makin them stop is to compromise with em: Dia at the start/duration of the fight, Bio when it's all but dead. Bio happens to be a a fairly mp-efficient way to finish off a fight since it does relatively good damage for its mp cost.

Or you can use an /assist macro. Those are great for finding the mob that you want to target. It only takes about 3 seconds to write in the name of the puller, and you will never target the wrong mob. I swear by that macro when I'm playing 2 toons at once. It looks something like this..

/assist Shaunessy
/wait 1
/attack <t>

If you are a mage you can take out the wait and attack lines and just go with assist. For DD or tank though it's a great macro. You don't even have to see the mob to lock onto it.
