Ok, first off here is what happend. I have a 23WAR/9THF, I'm no newbie. I wanted to try out WHM so I create a new chareceter. Everything is going awsome and I'm loving WHM. I go out to train in Sarutarabuta and a couple days go by of me healing people (newbies in paticular) and I get to level 6, (hard to solo WHM, I'm use to hack and slash lol :roll: ). So I'm fighting this Mad fox, and all of a sudden some loser comes up to me (6WAR/MNK) and starts spamming me while im in the middle of the battle with "CURE, CURE, CURE, CURE" and I think, well maybe hes just foolin around or maybe he is telling me to cure myself ( I was kinda low on HP but mob was dead basicly). Then I get yet another /tell saying, " CURE ME, CURE ME!!" so I'm getting pretty dam* pissed off by now, I cure him just to get him out of my hair. A mob aggros him and I just laugh to myself and walk off to train. He then again /tells me "POISONA, POISONA, CURE, CURE,CURE, CURE ME!!" So I tell him that he should ASK and not demand like I am some GD toy. You know people its called politness, I would have used every ounce of MP I had to save him IF HE JUST ASKED POLITELY!! It's called manners. Learn some kids. It could save you a couple hundred experience points. :x :? :shock:

hmm...ports i havent seen people demand, but seen them ask, raise, only a couple have i seen demands of it...personally i ask, becuz of like that situation, id rather have the whm like me than have them hate me and let me die, lol, but if i do die, i really dont care, unless i just leveled

i dont think raises are really necessary till like lvl 35+, i mean, if your losing 500 exp, then screw getting raised, just go to your HP(if its close by) and start fighting, you will gain it all back quicker than getting raised and making everyone wait 5 minutes for you to heal up, god..but when you start losing 1k exp. then thats when i think its good to get a raise...
for example, i was in the dunes, the HP was very close to our camp, and each time someone died, they didnt lie there and looked dumb, waiting for the fight to get over then start asking for a raise, what they did was quickly went to the HP, ran to the camp and started hacking away, practically gaining back the loss, i think that is smarter than waiting for everyone else to die instead of coming back and helping...i am glad RDM's get Raise at lvl 38, thats when it is more useful

As bad as this is, I've found Blm to be as bad if not worse. I am CONSTANTLY getting /tells asking for warp2 WHILE IM IN A PARTY! Some even get mad when I tell them no. So now I almost always go /anon. Sorry for the rant, but I needed to get it off of my chest.
I tend to agree as I am a BLM 32 / WHM 31.
I recently raised 5 ppl in Yhoator Jungle after a gob train and died 15min later to a fiercy gob we were fighting. I had to wait for a helpful LS member to get me Raise from a nearby WHM!!
It's as sad as watching tanks zoning BEFORE the mages!! :roll:

Yes it does, Jinnai, right under the section that explains that PLD should die in EVERY party not matter what because it's their job, and to the side of the section that describes the dynamics of a BLM/WAR tank.

I get "used" a lot as a RDM too - especially now that I have CureIII, Invis, and Sneak. *sigh* I used to always run around helping random people - curing them in battles, protecting and shelling them...but it gets to the point where you don't WANT to help people anymore because no one appreciates it. It is the sad life of a mage I guess.
I also HATE HATE HATE the fact that whenever I get into a party - everyone immediately give me instructions on what to cast. I am not talking about other mages - you obviously have to work out the strategy with them...and I don't even mind the leader's 2 cents...but when other party members who have never BEEN a mage start in on it - it is just ANNOYING. I KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB - I KNOW WHICH OF MY SPELLS ARE THE MOST EFFECTIVE....geez.....

Yeah, it sucks when I'm trying to do something and I'll get tells all the way from Qufim or Valkurm that say "REZ PLZ?!?!?!?" But I don't mind doing ports because of the money, and warp makes it very simple. To clarify, I like doing Raises, and I won't charge, but it bugs me when people aren't polite and go "REZ PLZ (H-4) K THX!!!!!!"
Buy a little notepad and a pen, title the first page 'Rude Fckers who will never get a Raise / Teleport' and write their names down. In 20 or so levels, when they ask you for help, politely tell them to shove it.
