Who got a beta invite?

Overlooked me and rightfully so. I don't have at least 1 gram of memory still. Waiting to save up some more money and will apply when I buy a better computer.

You should have applied still, they need people with low-end computers to see if the game can even run on it.

I did apply with all honesty. They overlooked me, not me overlooking the application.
 
I was very disappointed I didn't get one.
 
PS3 beta information, need the code from FFXIII

Thanks to the hawkish eyes of our loyal IRC members, we have been alerted to the fact that the FFXIV beta application page has been updated with some new, and potentially important, disclaimers.

First, you can now re-apply and, it seems, update your beta application. Whereas in the past it gave you an error message if you tried to reapply, now you can get back to the application form. The fine print now states:

* If an applicant applies multiple times, only the final application will be valid.

Next, there is also now a place to submit a PS3 beta code on the application form. The form states:

* If you received a FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code for registering FINAL FANTASY XIII on the Square Enix Members site, please enter that code now.

There is some accompanying fine print on this aspect as well.

* If you have received a FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code for registering FINAL FANTASY XIII on the Square Enix Members site, please use it to apply for the beta test.

* If you have already applied for the FINAL FANTASY XIV beta test but would like to apply for the PlayStation 3 beta with a FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code, please be aware that all previous applications will be invalidated.

* The promotional code will also be required to obtain the FINAL FANTASY XIV secret in-game item, so please hold on to your code until the game’s official release.

I just got my copy of FFXIII but can't open it yet. Is there a code inside somewhere?
 
So what exatly is that code that comes with the ps3 copy of FFXIII? Is it really for the beta? And what if you already got in for the PC alpha, can you still apply for the PS3 beta? i dont get this

in other words if you got into the alpha/beta already (or only want to play the beta on PC)... dont use the code or apply again. since your latest application will be used.

by the sounds of it though you should keep your code till the real release of FFXIV to get the in-game item. i was hoping all alpha/beta tests would get an in-game item when it was released (just a funny hat or something)...

Which sucks, 'cause the code I have is for EU, and my POL account is NA. If FFXI players get an extra item in FFXIV or something, that means I have to choose between the FFXIII item or the FFXI item, since if I want the FFXIII item I have to start a new a new EU account

Alpha Client being delayed because they wanna fix SE's forums bugs 1st, not that I'm admitting being in Alpha or anything >.>

I have a question about the beta signup for PS3. It appears I can't complete the application without entering the promo code. So I must purchase FFXIII on PS3 to even sign up for the IV beta? (I already purchased it on 360, only received codes for avatar outfits) Perhaps I'm missing something somewhere? Thx in advance.
 
Only get the promo code if you bought the PS3 version.
 
Ugh... that's kinda silly. it's bad enough they are releasing it on the inferior console to begin with. Oh well, thanks Uzor.
