I met a guy by the name of Avatarow a while back, he saw my lu shangs and asked me where I got it, so I explained the quest.

He also remarked on my goblin coif, and I explained that too.

Now several weeks later, today, he was standing beside me at ah and opens up with a "hey bud, can u lend me 200K? :)"

I was pretty shocked and told him no, and he pressed further. He then explained he wanted to buy a royal cloak for his rdm and needed the money. I then helped him by looking up the various mats needed and told him he probably would be best off sticking with buying them. And that, for the third time, no I wouldn't give this stranger 200K.

Throughout the conversation he expressed confusion at phrases like, HQ, HNM, NM, and others like that, which is very very strange coming from a level 60, fully AF'd, rdm.

He also talks very childlike and uses lots of slang and such, so I am starting to think he may've bought his account.

This isn't a flame cause I'm not insulting him, just mildly curious. Anyone know this guy personally, partyed with him? I just can't believe you could hit level 60 and not know what HQ means...
 
Well, we can't all have a vast Wiki knowledge and theories on AV/PW by lvl 60.
 
I didn't know what HQ meant for a while to be honest...I'd always call it +1 gear...

This guy actually came up to me while I was standing outside the AH. He checked me a couple times, then asked me if I was rich. I said no. He Lol'd, checked me once, then went away.

A friend of mine had this character ask him the same request, to give him 200k.

Other than that, don't know anything about him.
 
I could've sworn I've partyed with the guy on a few occasions, but he didnt talk/act like this guy.

This guy sounds like a level 5er who just started playing a few days ago, that way of talking, using lol 2-3 times in a sentence, using u instead of you and like 20 !s at end of sentence, so on and so forth.

Could be a noob that got PLed by friend from level 1 to this, and had someone hold his hand all the way through AF and such...

Edit: Neveremind was thinking of Avatarofwoe, yeah this avatarow is totally different guy

He also asked me the same questions while I was in Whitegate. Just happens sometimes I guess.
 
Ran into him today

he started talking to me by saying this after checking me "are u rich?"
I was like ........
Then he went " can you give me 500K? if you nice enough "

but of course, what he got was blisting

Yo wassup Quetzalcoatl, This is Peetie just replying to this thread to clarify some things. First of all, damn you guys why didnt you make my day and just flame Avatarow? lolol its hillarious, when i heard that he was "getting flamed on qcdn" i just busted out laughing.

Okay on to the meat of my reply. Avatarow is my rl cousin. He and another guy named Cristiano are my rl cousins, though Cristiano is more mature and way way more literate. Avatarow did not buy his account. He is only 13 yrs old, and doesn't quite understand social dynamics, discipline, and hard work. He is impatient and doesnt like to sacrifice time for farming, fishing etc. I have taught him ways to make money, referred him to allakhazam.com for information, but obviously this fool fails to see the oportunities being well informed provides. He has had problems in the past where he begged for money, and that was the way he got gil. Please, lol if he begs you or anyone else for gil, by all means, tell him off, tell him to stop being lazy etc etc. This is a lesson he has to learn if not from me, from the "real world people", as his behavior should not be tolerated.

About him not knowing stuff like the meaning of HQ, HNM, NM, thats partly my fault. I have had babied Avatarow and Cristiano since they made their accounts. Avatarow mainly ONLY focuses on leveling and trying to get to 75 as fast as possible. I myself have a rdm and blm at 75. Me thinks this fool saw my character and i guess wanted to be 75 just like me.

The funny thing about all this is Cristiano used to get all mad because he KNEW about avatarows begging for money, and to MY surprise, people actually giving him gil. He used to try to beg me to give him gil and after some initial start up gil, i was like "hell no get your own damn gil".

If you see this character in any way shape or form disrespecting you or harrasing you, by all means set him straight, if he persists send me a /tell (Peetie) ill go to his house and whoop his butt if i have to lol.
