Whoa, Totaly Amazing...

Man, this thread really does fail. Firefox only pages can suck my dick. Everyone complains when things aren't available cross platform, and then Firefox comes along, creating proprietary pages.

Well, only firefox has the XI plugins that I'm using and I'm enjoying this ad blocker as well.

IE has always offered a multitude of protections if you are concerned with security. The only reason people can say it spread viruses is because when 95% of the people are using it, and 5% using something else... hackers are going to target the 95%.

As far as I can tell, you have more control over security with IE than you ever did with Firefox.

As far as what IE doesn't have that Firefox does, I can only think of tabs inside the pages... but I prefer alt-tab anyways. I don't even know if that holds true with the new build of IE being developed.

SP2 adblock ftw

IE has the tabs inside of the pages now.
Also instead of alt+tab use CTRL+tab for the tabs.
Firefox has some fun plugins and is easy to skin ect.

There is almost nothing left that firefox has that microsoft hasnt copied. This is a common strategy for microsoft to copy off of anything the competition has in order to drive them out of business to make it a microsoft only world. Anyone remember netscape? Microsoft is trying to replace google atm although for the first time ever they aren't able to smash a company to the ground by making whatever they sell for free.

That being said IE will always be much more vulnerable due to 95% of viruses made for it. If IE was allow user made plugins then it would be flood of malicous code and viruses being added into IE. With firefox.linux when a person finds a security hole they report it and it is quickly partched up. With ie/windows it is immediately explioted or at the very least theres no real motivation to report it or even look for the security hole in the first place.

W3C interpretation compatibility. Last I heard IE7 was still not going to adopt the standards 100%.

Quit clogging my internet's tubes with broken links.

I vastly prefer's firefox's adblock to IE's, because it actually works. I couldn't get IE to block more than maybe 10-20% of the ads, whereas with firefox I can block more around 80%. Although I think I'm using another plugin for firefox to expand on the adblocking.

M$LOL posts are pretty shitty, because blind rampant anti-fanboyism is just that, blind. Google wasn't the first search engine. ZOMG GOOGLE COPIED YAHOO! MORE LIKE G$$GLE M I RITE. You could say JVC copied Sony's Betamax with their VHS. And just like Mac's OS, Sony pretty much kept Betamax strictly proprietary. They wouldn't lease it out to any other company but Sony subisidaries. So it didn't get wide spread, and never caught on despite being superior.

Thats kind of funny, cause with IE7's adblock, I'm having a hard time making it NOT block non-ads. Every time I go to a different site that has links that open new windows/tabs, I have to tell it it's a friendly site.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I have IE7 or not. I got firefox a long time ago and never bothered checking on IE updates since I never used it.

Google was an attempt to make a search engine that just happened to be the most popular and useful out of all the millions of search engines out there.
Microsofts search engine is a blatant and failed attempt to drive google out of business. I remember the article in my newspaper were microsoft literally said they want some of googles marketshare ect and as such will be emulating them/integrating the search bar into explorer. I cant remember is they said tey were adding any innovations but I've yet to see any.

We've all heard the microsoft is evil joke and laugh at em but i honestly find firfox better so far vs IE. lolalla and somepage popups are never blocked by microsoft. Also your issue with microsofts ecessive blocking of sites you want to see is easily solved by holding ctrl when you click the link if i remeber right.

No shit, and here I was always under the impression that businesses weren't trying to get the highest marketshare.

lolalla and somepage popups are never blocked by microsoft.

With IE7 I've never had a popup make it through from Somepage, and Alla's only get through very rarely. Firefox let a lot more from alla through.

The only problem I have with IE7 is it seems a hell of a lot slower than Firefox when using several tabs...

Well shit, who is? CSS 2.0 came out like 8 years ago (I know, I exagerate, but goddamn)... :O And NONE of the browsers even know what the shit to do with some of it.

Not sutprising. IE7 is still in beta I believe, so it would be something you would have to actively pursue and install it, it's not something you could install not knowing what it was.

Same thing happened to me once, but I was inside a mountain walking on water. Wtf lol I have that screenshot somewhere.
