Who's pick up FFXII Tonight?

I just got a call from Gamestop saying I can pick up FFXII tonight at 11pm...They said there's going to be some kind of release party...
 
Yeah, I work for EB which is also gamestop.. yay... We're doing a midnight release for FFXII tonight too :)

What's this whole midnight release party all about? And I did order thru EB but the message said Game Stop
 
Mine's being mailed to me since I ordered it online. Just as well, since I couldn't play it immediately anyways.

EB got bought by gamestop late least year. Sucks such a cheap company ><; I'm so glad I was hired under EB before the buy out lol

I'll be going to pick it up tomorrow morning, as soon as I awake from my drunken slumber.
 
Yep, picking it up tonight, heading to the mall around 11 since that's when they're gonna reopen the doors, so I won't have to wait in the cold until 12:01 to pick FFXII up from Gamestop.
 
It was funny how EB was bought by GameStop, but it was GameStop who switched a lot of their store procedures over to the EB ones.

Oh, and the way that midnight opennings work. From 11:00 to 12:00, GameStop/EB employees will be having everyone pay off their game. That way when it gets to 12:01, they can basically just enter the reserve list and basically just hand them out really quick.

And be nice to the employees and reserve something else when you are there. They actually have to get a certain percentage of reserves to not get written up lol This is why they always ask if you want to reserve something. So roll over your $5 to something else. :-p lol

I take it this is for the PS2. Any PC version coming out? Any leaks? XD

Sucks for me then. I saw some screenshots and mobs are just like FFXI. I hate those battles that just come up randomly as you are walking around.

Yeah I hated that also... And worse thing about it was it was like every 3-5 steps you were attacked... It usually got to the point where I just ran from the battles because it just got annoying
 
All the EBs are supposed to stay as EB games supposedly. They're not going to change them all into Gamestops. Also, there's also some sort of costume contest going on as well for Halloween/FFXI (or atleast there is at the store I work at). I'm so going to work tomorrow with my rdm lookalike hat XD

/nod They give us a lot of shit about reserves. We're not trying to steal your money and we don't get any sort of commision. If you're going to buy the game anyway it actually is in your best interest to reserve it.

Ohhh, so that explains why you thanked me for reserving mine, lol. =p Anyways, I'm probably just gonna get mine tomorrow.
 
Its not halo 3 so i am not staying up to;; 12:01 to get my copy.
 
This is BS i never got a call (Pre-ordered at GS/EB/whatever). My EB is inside a mall though, so i wouldnt think they would open the whole mall for one store...

Its probably a good thing since i have a paper due wednesday night, if i pick mine up today/tomorrow ill be playin non-stop and never write.

You still should of gotten a call stating to come pick it up on Tuesday..
