why do melee tarus go...

Because Taru melees are tiny little folk and need to shout their battle cries at higher octaves so as not to be drowned out by the guttral grunts and groans of Orcs beating the crap out of them, and Galkas humping people with the /cheer emote.

Me, on the other hand, being an Elvaan male using the head I use (Yes, I've somewhat noticed that each head produces it's own distinctive battle sound effects), I have a tendency to sound alot like Link from Super Smash Bros., and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The only difference is our dying sound effects...

<Link> *Swinging Master Sword* "...Hut! Skeit! Haaaahhh! Hoo-riah!!! SEIYAAAAAH!!!" ... *Gets knocked out of bounds* "HoooooooOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" *Star twinkles in backround where Link flew off, just like Team Rocket in an episode of Pokemon*

*Since he's an Elvaan, and can't hump people with "Galka /cheer emote"... He does the next best thing... Humps the nearest thing with "Elvaan Male /joy emote"...*
 
I could actually do that, too. I have a TV tuner hooked up to my PC and TV... I can watch cable and play console games off my PC and record it, lol!

IMO, nothing beats the Galka sounds. My favorite is the acclaimed, "HMMEOFF!" Sound it out, and I bet you can think of the times you have heard it lol.

Yeah the female characters make some awesome screams and grunting noises. Male Humes make say something like "HHM-C'MON" along with other yells. The Taru's are just more vocal (annoying) with their "Hee-Yah" "Ya-ya-ha"...
 
Kiere makes some very sexy grunts especially when whacking away at something with her sword or yew wand...lol

I always found it funny when they die. They make an ehh noise... But I would never let an obnoxius party member die on purpuse because they where pissing me off with stupidity...no would never.... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Dire... :lol: lol you're so right about the moaning ehhh, it's kind of funny.

Humes are boring moaners...Which is why my mule is a galka, /cheer ^^
 
All races have different shouts and grunts during melee, I was surprised to hear what a little slut Rappa (Mithra) sounded like in battle O_o;

But, as to why only tarutaru say "Hi-ya!" maybe it's the same reason that only Elvaan have billowing robes when they cast spells.

My favorite Galka noise is the "Bummbley-ahhh!" one. It makes me chortle.
