Why I like playing BST (TOP 20)

1) I got to party in the dunes and it didn't suck.
2) I can get out of certain jams that most parties can't handle.
3) I can temp log ANY TIME I WANT when IRL issues arise.
4) I never have to LFG.
5) I can leech in my party and my pet doesn't complain.
6) If my pet ever complains, I can kill it.
7) I got to party in Queef'm and it didn't suck.
8) I didn't have to party in the dunes or Queef'm.
9) It's fun to xp by yourself and see /shout's of "LFG please invite."
10) I get ALL the drops.
11) I can argue with my pet in /party mode and I always win.
12) I can go into zones at earlier levels than I normally would with other jobs.
13) I can party for 10 minutes without getting a /slap from my pet.
14) I can party for 10 hours because pets aren't wuss'es who have to sleep.
15) My pet doesn't spam useless party messages when it does a "weapon skill"
16) My pet doesn't complain about camp locations or xp per hour.
17) I can fight naked or use elite gear and my pet doesn't care either way.
18) I don't have to wait as my pet goes AFK for: smoke, drink, <bio><break>, shower,
or sex. (yes, all of those happened to parties I was in.)
19) My pet doesn't yell at me if I let it die.
20) I can kill about anything solo, including my pet and myself.


(my main is SAM/RNG /WAR but BST/WHM /NIN is really rising fast with me)

#20 . . . so true, so true. LOL I also like how you can do crazy shit with BST that no sane party would ever consider- once I have my xp cushion at 33, I'm gonna try xping off the bombs in Gusgen. It looks like it's gonna be a blast! (Insert groan for bad pun here).

I love the aspect of number two. Just the other day I felt like a friggin god in SSG. Here's the story:

Me and my duo partner were exping, and stupidly he used DS + Curaga (-.-; in the middle of the fight, it ended up getting him killed. So we end up getting a raise from this paladin. He attacks a Sahagin and another links, so I take the link (this PLD had a shitload of hate btw). He walks off while I have hate, and I'm beating it as it was only a DC...then it happens.

The Sahagin runs off after the PLD, who was already close to Norg, we couldn't catch it so we just let it go, figuring the PLD would take care of it once it caught up. We get new pets and start attacking a bat....

Five seconds later the Sahagin comes back, linking with a Sahagin on the way. My duo partners pet dies, and mine is almost dead, so I release my pet and charm the T bat and send it on one of the Sahagin. My partner charms another bat from somewhere (might have even been my pet) and sends it on the original sahagin. Then yet another mistake occurs...

My duo partner used the bats AOE sic attack (he was probably hoping for jet stream ><) and TWO other bats come into the fray. A situation like this might have already killed a party, and now it just got worse. My duo partner starts to run for the zone, and I asked him "What kind of BST runs from this?? Get back here and help me."

So he releases his pet, I release mine. We charm the two bats and send it on the Sahagins yet again, My Sahagin is pretty much dead by now. The bats run off to where they were and my Sahagin dies, so I send my pet on the Sahagin she is fighting. We then kick back and rest up while we let our pets fight.

It's situations like those that I"m glad I wasn't in any normal exp party, that would have resulted in a lot of death, and there's nothing more satisfying than surviving a situation like that. You seriously feel as if the world is at your fingertips ^_^b
