Why is the PS3 a fail?

I dunno, my router's been fine before. Everything connected to it via ethernet worked fine but when I used wireless for my computer (stupid mother wouldn't let me run either a really long cord or have someone drill through the ceiling XD) it sucked. Everything was configured fine :\ bah..

This is you explaining how the build in wireless on the PS3 is useless when I was explaining how it's a nice feature, that buying on the Xbox 360 would cost 100 dollars, effectively bringing the gap from PS3 and Xbox Premium from $200 to $100. (Or in the case of the Elite, which is a much more comparable sku, from $120 to $20.) Let's not even mention for that 20 bucks you're also getting a blu-ray player, since a high def movie player obviously isn't worth $20, unless MS sells it and it's going to be extinct, in which case it's worth $200.

Rest of the thread or it didn't happen.

This is you explaining how I should buy a wireless router if I want to play Wii online.

It's more realiable than their adapters, I think the masses pretty much agrees.

This is you lying about the time frame that you bought your wireless router, either now, or from before. This shows that pretty much anything you've ever said is potentially a lie to make your case seem stronger.

No, I've had a wireless router for years now but used wires. Nice try though :)

My theory: You're desperate to be on the "winning team." You seek to go along with the masses, therefore the opinions of what games are good, what services are good, what piece of technology is acceptable is based solely on whatever your mind wants it to conform to. If the PS3 is the "unpopular" piece of machinery, you want to explain how it's a piece of shit, and how it has no good games, and how you'd never buy one but of course "your friend" has one and you've played every major release and you were very disappointed.

If Metal Gear Solid 4 gets ported, you'll be sure to get it and love it. If it doesn't, it sucks anyhow. If FF13 gets ported you'll get it and love it, if it doesn't, it sucks anyhow. All first party Sony games must suck, based on no reason. Killzone 2 based on all the awesome information about it, and its huge budget spanning many years of development sucks because you didn't like the PS2 game you probably never played in the first place.

Achievements are god. Trophies are worthless. Xbox live is worth 50 dollars a year to get matchmaking service, PS3 for free isn't worth the dedicated servers and PS Home.

Then throw a few bones at the things that can't even be argued against, like that Littlebigplanet looks cool and that Warhawk looks fun to not try and look biased as shit.

Oh yeah, don't forget to throw out how you'll prefer Xbox 360's 9 gig version of Unreal Tournament 3 with no keyboard/mouse support and no mod support to the PS3's 30 gig version. Keep a really straight face and don't look in my eyes as you explain how I'm the one insecure with my purchase, as I buy a Xbox 360 elite's and Wii's value combined in Blu-rays cause high def movies don't matter to real gamers like you.

You broke my laffin' cap. You're right, you founded me out. Now, jokes on you Holmes.

You only proved two things and me being a liar isn't one of them. You proved 1: I'm forgetful (like msot human beings)however, I never ruled out 100% of me saying anything and 2: I had a change of heart on my wireless situation.

never have problems with my wireless router in my 2 bedroom apartment.
my brother is having no problems with the wi-fi connection from a distance.
i can connect my psp and nds properly anywhere in the apartment.
this includes while taking a dump in both toilets lol, extra tension while playing Metroid Hunters and MPO online O_o
i guess my wireless router covers my apartment well hehehe

Or your apartment isn't fifty-years-old. A wired connection of the same type will always better because it's directly to the source.

sadly my apartment isn't 50 years old.
it is obvious that direct without interference is always better.
however, i am staying with another person.
to me wireless connection is convenient. i share my connection with my brother.
i am not using a long ass wire to make the apartment messy to connect from one room to another room which is across the living room.
in terms of lag, i have yet to face lag while playing Motorstorm in an Australian Server.

Rest of the thread or it didn't happen.

I linked your exact fucking post.

A wire will always be more reliable than wireless. Wireless is however useful when you can't get a wire. Hence... both wired and wireless have value.

You flat out said on this thread, "I've only recently, past month, rigged my PC and Xbox for compatibility with my wireless router to even compair it too."

Stating that you never had wireless for your Xbox before so you couldn't have commented on it before.

You forget having bought a wireless router, disliking it, returning it and then buying it again later?

Please, just shut the fuck up. Leave this thread and stop arguing about consoles. You are really pathetic.

lol

That's not the only way you can be "wired." Like I said, I'm running on a wireless connection myself. And it's because I'm not going to have some fifty foot cord on the ground throughout my apartment. But if I were living in a house, like I previously did, you can bet your ass that I'm drilling some holes in the ground if I have to.

In newer houses you can abuse the ventalation ducts to run wires, no drilling required.

Wired internet will always outperform wireless, so if its possible to have wired, wire.

For any game that relies on fast reactions the best way to play it is offline. Fighters will probably never be great online. Shooters are borderline because a few miliseconds won't ALWAYS matter, but those fractions of seconds actually do make a difference. Every little thing that adds to ping, like using a wireless connection, just pushes it onto the other side of the "acceptable" line.

P.S. Strid has some balls coming back here after that shit doesn't he, lol.

I linked your exact fucking post.

Then you insued with explaining the reason behind the post without posting, as I said, the thread for your claims. You linked me to a post I wrote about hating my Xbox 360 wireless adapter and takin' it back, which, I did. More to follow on down.

Wii's adapters for makin' the console not rely on wireless are garbage, haven't we already agreed on that? The whole usb to ethernet connectors, though I haven't bought one for my Wii, on the PC, a more stable connector I'd imagine (wouldn't you say?), are trash so how would one be good on a console?

Stating that you never had wireless for your Xbox before so you couldn't have commented on it before.

And no where does that say I just got a wireless router. I'll explain sense you're so eager to know about my situation. I've had a Netgear wireless router for almost, not quite, three years now. My roomate utilized this on his PC as his PC was compatible, off the shelf, with wireless. I built my PC not to utilize wireless because I'm a cheap-ass that would rather have bought a better video card or processor. I used wires, he used wireless, the router supports both as all good routers should. Then, we move. This complex only has one cable outlet per unit, so lame. It happens to be placed in the den area. I ran my cords down the hall but me being the neat freak I am, couldn't take havin' cords (2) in my floors strikin' passer byers and myself with no remorse, yes, there was a few instances of non sexual rug munchin'. I bought a wireless card for my PC and my 360, again for both as I've tried it before. This time however, I moved the router into my room and it's not blocked by jack shit. The outcome, everything works almost as well as it did with cords.

You forget having bought a wireless router, disliking it, returning it and then buying it again later?

Again, I'll say for clarity to you sense you're the one who can't catch on, I never said anything about not havin' a wireless router, EVER. I did not recall the thread were I posted about my displeasure of hookin' a wireless deal on my 360. I recalled telling my friend and some on AIM I didn't like it, but not here. Sue me for forgettin' what goes on around this place. Sometimes I forget QCDN is serious business because to me, it's not.

Please, just shut the fuck up. Leave this thread and stop arguing about consoles. You are really pathetic.

I'm pathetic but you're the one strutting balls on a forum thinkin' your Master Chief, makes a lot of sense. I'm sure you're sittin' at your 'puter this very instant with a sock and some Astro Glide VEINS A PUMPIN'!

I'm still failing to see how simply forgetting a responce I made to Skaw sets this up. It's cute, real cute. I'm sorry that I'm a threat to your emotions on your PS3, I really am, but I'm not going anywhere. Just remember... I came in here (the last time before all of this and after the thread began) not even mentioning the PS3. You had to bring it up and I know why Fire, I do. Maybe you should stop, take a breath, and realize why, exactly, this keeps happening.

As for my balls, they are prettty tough to crack, don't count on being able to do it simply by twisting words, like your well known for, and simply makin' me "crack". You're going to have to do a lot better than that. They really are, OVER 9000! Catch me in a real lie, which you will never do, instead of me forgettin' a post I made.

All of this PS3 hate business could stop but you have got to stop bringin' it up in unecessary situations.

Hugs and Kisses -Your best buddy Stridder Pants

P.S. If you think fighting games wont make it online, when you do get your 360 I encourage you to download Small Arms and bask in its greatness.

It's not my fault that you can't figure out how to get to the thread from the post. You're the one who denied the post you wrote existed and I'm the one who found it to show you're a lying piece of shit.

I have no idea if they're trash or not, the only one I tried doesn't even work. If one thing pisses me off, it's making all your accessories proprietary to inconvenience the fuck out of the customer so they need to buy your brand. To top it all off, do that and don't release the accessory at all. They probably got the idea from Microsoft, who thought it'd be cool to design Forza and then not allow the unquestioned superior brand of racing wheels to work with the Xbox 360. Or how about selling a 120 gig harddrive for 180 bucks.

And no where does that say I just got a wireless router.

I don't give a fuck how long you've had a router.

I'll explain sense you're so eager to know about my situation. I've had a Netgear wireless router for almost, not quite, three years now. I skipped over this section as you seem to confuse the concepts of a wireless router and a wireless adapter. As you love everything Nintendo I assumed you already had a wireless router and Nintendo DS so you can play your Pokemon and Nintendogz online and trade pictures with 5 year old girls.

The question at hand is if you had an Xbox 360 adapter before or not. I assumed when you said that you had the adapter that mean you had a router, either that or it would explain your dissatisfaction with its performance.

Again, I'll say for clarity to you sense you're the one who can't catch on, I never said anything about not havin' a wireless router, EVER.

And I never talked about not having the a giraffe, let's fill up multiple paragraphs so we look like we have stronger arguments!

Sue me for forgettin' what goes on around this place. Sometimes I forget QCDN is serious business because to me, it's not.

I couldn't care less if you forget posting about your adapter. What does surprise me, is that you forgot about OWNING one, disliking it and then selling it. More likely.... dundundundundundundun... you lied.

I'm pathetic but you're the one strutting balls on a forum thinkin' your Master Chief, makes a lot of sense. I'm sure you're sittin' at your 'puter this very instant with a sock and some Astro Glide VEINS A PUMPIN'!

Do you know how hard it is to prove someone on the internet is lying about a real life event that happened to them that's physically possible? It's pretty damn hard, and arguments about technical products like Xbox 360s and PS3s are going to be very dependent on trusting the other person who says they thought Resistance: Fall of Man is boring actually ever played Resistance: Fall of Man. I caught you red handed contradicting yourself, which means I know you'll lie to make your point, and potentially anything you've ever said is a lie.

I'm still failing to see how simply forgetting a responce I made to Skaw sets this up. It's cute, real cute. Why I have the urgency the out liars?

As for my balls, they are prettty tough to crack, don't count on being able to do it simply by twisting words, like your well known for, and simply makin' me "crack".

I don't have to twist shit. You lied, I caught you, it's over son.

You're going to have to do a lot better than that. They really are, OVER 9000! Catch me in a real lie, which you will never do, instead of me forgettin' a post I made.

YadaYadaYadaYada. Quit trying to worm out of this like I'm some 10 year old you're arguing with on Xbox Live about who P0wned who. I caught you on the fact that you said your adapter sucked and returned it, then said later you just bought one and never had one before this month so you didn't have one and return it.

You denied the post existed because you denied you had the adapter before. You told me I'd be wasting my time trying to find it because it couldn't exist because the adapter didn't exist. What I'm finding more likely is that you were telling the truth right now, the adapter never existed, and you were just saying the adapter sucked then to bash wireless when you never actually tried it.

All of this PS3 hate business could stop but you have got to stop bringin' it up in unecessary situations.

Like threads about the PS3 on the PS3 board.

It senses motion. Try Godfather for PS3... you grab a person and by moving the controller up and down, left or right, you throw them around. It's not just a tilt, you can keep it perfectly level and it senses changes in motion. When coded for right it's also very accurate. Having owned both Wii Sports and Motorstorm, while Motorstorm's controls are way more tight, it's actually tighter than Wii sports.

Open up the controller. It is not motion sensing for christ sakes. Yes, it is tilt function. Just because in Godfather it might seem like tossing them around, it is just tilt function recognizing you are moving the controller back and forth.

Oh, and since you all love quoting shit with no relevance, here is a quote off Playstation.com, ya know, the people that made it? I will bold the relevant.

With the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system’s Cell Broadband Engine™ creating experiences that were never thought possible, a controller was needed that would enable your experience to match its potential. Enter the new SIXAXIS™ wireless controller. Utilizing sensors designed to read when a player angles, tilts, thrusts, or pulls, the SIXAXIS controller allows game play to become a natural extension of the player’s body.

And with the heritage of the PlayStation system’s basic controller design still intact, gamers are now able to play the controls they’ve grown accustomed to while harnessing the added intuitive movements of the multi-axis controller.

That is NOT motion sensing. That is TILT function.

You got a defective product and are asuming that the entire line is defective based on a single case; I'm shocked how stupid you're being. I lent my friend my wii so that he could play Zelda and some other games I had(since he can't find one in any store here); he doesn't have a wireless router(it's one of the free shit ones you get for signing up for service) and bought one of the ethernet attatchments rather than a dongle. His worked perfectly, so now there's 2 reports of personal usage; although I'm sure you'll think it's a perfect sample and that Nintendo has a 50% failure rate on the etherner adaptors. You love to just spam bullshit statistics like that, regardless of how obviously wrong they are.

thrusts and pulls aren't motion?

And on that vein... tilting isn't motion?

lol don't try to pull that shit. They are defined as totally different things. It is tilt function. Thrusting and pulling are aligned on the same axis as defined by the name sixaxis. There are 3 defined axii that the PS3 recognizes tilt, and that is one of them.

I'm not commenting on anything else, just stop calling it motion sensing for the PS3 because it is not.

I never said I had a problem with the concept of an Ethernet adapter for the wii, although it should have a port built in. What I said was, the brand I tried, linksys, didn't work. I could start ordering random brands on newegg it one worked, but then I couldn't return them if they didn't. I have no idea what brands work and what don't, I just know that generic brands don't necessarily.

This has nothing to do with if you remembered a post or not. This is you, saying that prior to this past month, have not have wireless internet to be able to judge wireless internet. Quit being a fucking dipshit. Just because you possess the cognitive ability to post doesn't mean you "win" by replying to me with your inane repetitive banter.

You seem to have a very specific definition of motion. You see, since I was a child, I believed that by stepping one foot in front of the other, I was in fact, engaging in the process of motion. I didn't understand the Newtonian physics behind it, but I understood, I was moving. When I tilted my glass in my hand to drink milk, I understand I was moving the glass. By that definition, thrusting and tilting are motion. If something can sense those motions, then I can define them as motion sensing, even before Nintendo patented them.
