Why was Peregrine allowed to make a new account and post here?

Well, mods know, and have known, but they allow him to do so, so "allowed" is the right word.

There has been dialogue between Peregrine and the mods about his return.

I'd spoken with Eleibfrid about it a while ago, and can say with absolute confidence that the mods know about Peregrine.

He replied that there was something planned regarding this, but wouldn't say what. Apparently that something was nothing. gg
 
I heard rumors that it was someone from the "Posts Concerning Drug Use" thread.

Allowing someone to use your acct who is already banned is a banable offense. This person should get a temp ban for 30 days like necrosis, or permaban like juveniles original acct.

Indeed. Rules aren't rules unless they're followed.
 
I see a gray area when the other someone is using the acct only to send PMs, particularly ones of good intent. We've got a thread going re: guidelines for punishment under various scenarios, this is one of the areas we're covering.
 
Granted, I don't know the circumstances, but banned is banned. Are we opening the doors for Windaria/Necrosis/Kink/ThatotherguyShaunessy too if they send reconciliatory PMs with love hearts?

Take that how you will. It doesn't take much skill or brainpower to mod, the difficulty is in making decisions that aren't biased nor too penalizing to specific individuals when you have no proof of their crime. That's why.

It's a loophole we're discussing on the mod forum as I mentioned earlier. But for the time being, since the loophole is now out to the public, we'll be a little more lenient with any new ones that pop up between now and the time that our penalties are solidified.

If I had the information you have, he wouldn't be here, on the basis that when he got banned it was to be permanent.

You know, I did ban him for a reason. Kind of like to see that being honored.
 
Probably the same reason why Kinkkerbelle has been allowed to post under Bstmistress, which was banned and one time and then unbanned.
 
I think that he should be given access to only the flameboard, and only if he delievers quality hilarious flames like he did before. If he doesn't make any worhwhile flames or call anyone a fan boy, we can give him access to the whole forum and go from there.
