wii and old games question

Ok so I'm thinking of maybe getting a wii but the main thing is to play the older nintindo games on the system for the kids.

Does anyone have any information on how this system is set up? Like I have xbox live and it cost points you buy to get those arcade games. Is there a list of what games are out there and maybe ruffly how much each game is?
 
You can automatically access the Virtual Console (older games) shop right out of the box, just need a wireless internet connection. To get the games, you can either buy a Wii Points card (at your local game store/shop, i.e. wal mart, or gamestop,) or you can use a credit card to buy wii points from the Online Shop directly from the Wii.

Games range roughly from $5.00 to $10.00, and I think thats as high as they go, I may be wrong. They all average around $8.00 though, for the good games, and 5 for the not so good

You buy "Wii Points," and use those points to purchase the virtual console games. Each point is roughly 1 cent, so games will cost from 500-1,000 points but are really $5.00-$10.00. I'm not sure of any internet site that has a list of the currently available games and their prices, but those are listed on the shop channel of the Wii before you buy them.
 
I kind of figured that's how the buying would go. Mostly I thought they would have all the games but after reading in here a bit they don't yet.

Can someone tell me if they have rbi baseball 3 from the nes? Lol
I saw that they are releasing mk 64 which was another I wanted.

If anyone finds a list of what they have available so far though that'd be nice thanks :) (I don't think there is though because I haven't been able the find it)
 
Well, they're releasing 4 games every monday to the virtual console; so if they don't have it on there yet, it might be on there soon.
