Wii-Fit

Wii-Fit is going to be all about We Ski.

Ah... I remember when Wii first came out... Everyone was breaking their remotes and TV screens...

This is gonna be funny...

400 lbs. nerds and housewives breaking their WiiFit boards.

I still want to know weight restrictions.

Wait, this isn't released in the states yet?

Wow, what's with the sudden increase in games that's released in EU before NA? Anyway, I kind of like it. I originally bought it for my mom and sister who aim to lose weight, but I found myself using it as well. Its nice to just turn it on and do some of the exercises while lfg. Earlier I just used to do some weight lifting, sit-ups, crunches etc. while lfg. Can do some yoga or meditating in-between them with Wii Fit. The exercises are actually better then I expected, although they don't beat a good old fashioned gym. Sometimes you just don't feel like heading down to the gym, or simply don't have time, and Wii Fit is excellent for those situations. I've found the last Balance exercise to be extremely relaxing.

Wii Fit comes out next month in the US. I've been wondering why it's taking so long myself.

I wonder if this board'll be used for any other games besides "WiiFit".

Wii-Fit is going to be all about We Ski.

We Ski is going to be a game launched the same day, or around the same day as Wii Fit. A skiing game using the balance board (if you couldn't already tell.)

Aye. I saw it on the new Nintendo Channel they launched today.

It looks OK so far.

In fact, it reminds me of an old NAMCO Arcade Skiing Game I used to play called Alpine Racer, and Alpine Racer 2. Or an old SEGA Skateboarding Arcade game called Top Skater.

That game, and NAMCO's Prop Cycle (An Exercise Bike in front of a 50" Big Screen TV, where you control a flying Bicycle with an Airplane Propeller and Wings mounted on the front) were some bad-ass games in 1995.

The only difference is that all of those games had support bars that you could grab hold of and maintain some kind of balance other than your own. I just hope you don't have to lean very far to the left or right to make sharp turns... Falling down while playing anything with a foot pad sucks.

Romper..Galkas are too heavy for the Wii Fit board. :-D lol <3 Sup, man. :-)

But on the real, all racial-FFXI joking aside, I read about a month ago on a Nintendo site that the board supports roughly somewhere around 250-300 lbs. I could be off.

I'll see if I can find it. :-)

EDIT: Hmm.. I couldn't find the same site, but this one gives the numbers. They say its 300 lbs.

I hope everyone reserved their Wii-Fit because the US and UK are starting to experience a Wii-Fit shortage.

All Gamestops only have a few for reserved folks, and no extras as they would normally do for other games. Select stores that sell electronicss who normally do not reserve games or items have very few copies.

I was told a local Wal-Mart only had 3 shipped an sold out until further notice.
If Nintendo does not produce more soon, this item will be the next crazed thing for November 2008's Black Friday Mayhem.

Get ready for local retailers to jack up the prices once they become extremely rare.
We'll see how much this fever is milked. XD

Well, if there's some cause behind the shortages, I know a guy who can find out why.

He's a little old now, and a bit rusty, but I've known him for a long time, and he always gets the job done. He's the Investigator of teh Internetz now.

I got my copy. I haven't tried it yet but my brother's playing it right now and it looks like a lot of fun. I'll write something up about it later.

LOL - Inspector Gadget has my full support. :-D
I wonder if Dr. Claw is behind it all. (O.O)

Thats cool. I got lucky and managed to pick one up as well, but won't get to try it till after work.

If you get dibs next on the wii fit game, let us know how it goes.
From what I heard it has a lot of mini-games (aside from the work out programs).

Is there any online mode on it?
Push-up competition anyone? :-)

Oh btw, - everyone: the board supports up to 330lbs.
I remember checking the box earlier today.
