Wii-Fit

Thats cool. I got lucky and managed to pick one up as well, but won't get to try it till after work.

If you get dibs next on the wii fit game, let us know how it goes.
From what I heard it has a lot of mini-games (aside from the work out programs).

Is there any online mode on it?
Push-up competition anyone? :-)

Oh btw, - everyone: the board supports up to 330lbs.
I remember checking the box earlier today.
There is push-up competition, and 2 other competitions that I don't remember the name of.

Sadly, those are not online.

I just got mine on my lunch break, but I'll have to wait until I'm done with work to play it.

I snuck in a little time with it. I have a normal BMI for my height and after doing a few exercises it says I have a "body age" of 29 (I'm actually 27) so I guess that's pretty good. I was able to get pretty good scores on the exercises and games I tried, but you really do have to be in pretty good shape to get a high score. The scoring seems pretty well done. For example I do a lot of pushups at home and I got my highest score on the pushup exercise whereas I've had hip surgury so standing on one leg steadily for extended periods is pretty hard for me and my score was lower when that was involved.

Why? So some jerk can figure out some ghetto way to trick the board into registering the push-ups effortlessly?

No, because he asked if it was possible to compete online.

That's the last thing we need. Wii-Fit junkies that get so fitness oriented that they become steroid users to win online competitions. I could very well see this happening in America. Either that or kids that become exercise hungry, turning into nationwide health nuts so fast that McDonalds starts losing profits because kids want to buff up. Gas prices plummet as these kids hit adulthood and start to WALK to the store down the street instead of driving there. (I'm beginning to sound like a what-if scenario from Lewis Black's "Root of All Evil" show)

That, and with weight limit of 330 pounds, it seems that the people who would benefit the most from something like this are denied access to it. Not to say that someone of that weight shouldn't look elsewhere for fitness FIRST, it at least would provide a fun alternative/supplement to their normal activity.

If you weigh more than 330 pounds, you're probably beyond the help of Wii Fit.

I got Wii fit. Overall a nice product, except that the weighing mechanism seems a bit imperfect, as it weighed me about 15 pounds lighter than I really am the second day after getting my weight right the first day.

Overall not finding the exercises all that taxing, which makes me think I'm not getting all that much out of it. Having more trouble with balance than anything else, which is weird because I am an expert skier.

That girl sucked at hoola-hoops. I got max score first try.

woosh indeed.

I got wii fit..its fun :) a good way for people to get off their ass and get involved in a video game.

after watching that video about 17 times i think i might get wiifit
