OK, So Wii Bowling was the culprit on this injury. It was an intense competition between two of us. I had just bowled a strike and jumped for joy. Well the landing was not quite as smooth as the strike was and came down with my right ankle at a slight angle. Fell to the ground instantly in pain and thought I had just sprained the ankle again(same ankle 2 years ago hyper extended 2 tendons and 2 ligaments in snowboarding accident) as I knew the sprain feeling. Sat at the hospital for 1.5 hours to not even get registered and decided to leave and just go home, ice, compress, and elevate. Got to my own Doctor got the x-ray back and I snapped the fifth metatarsal/pinky toe bone. An Avulsion break where the tendon gets stretched so hard that it snaps the bone right off. I cant wait till my next injury!! :-) -Keith

Lol wooooow

I was playing bowling with my brother, and as I was bowling..I let go of the wii-mote and it flew into the wall behind my tv..and all I saw was shattering pieces..

I closed my eyes and said "oh shit my other brother is gonna kill me!!" thank god almighty the batteries came out and the cover for the batteries fell off. :)

I started using the strap after that incident..and my brother still doesn't know about it :D

Jesus Christ, it's bowling, not "swing your arm as hard as fucking possible."

No Wiimotes shouldn't be flying when playing Bowling. Baseball is the only Wii Sports game I can logically see it possibly happening in.

Man, and I thought I was a dork getting flesh ripped off my fingers while playing a prank on my friend.

These wii injuries are lame!

After having one and playing most of the games that people blame the flinging on... I can accuratly say, only Wiitards fling remotes.

Then how is it launching from your hand? You're not supposed to be moving your arm at any particular high speed when bowling in rl.

i told you, i had a loose grip, i accidently let go. I don't see why your getting very aggitated ( i cant think of the word) about this, its not even your wiimote that i broke, so you can just chill down a bit =/

Because I don't see how it's even feasible to think that you can toss it playing bowling, unless you're doing something very, very wrong/unbowlerlike. I can understand dropping it, but tossing? No effin' way is that normal.

Try this, take the Wiimote, face your bed or somthing, do the same motion you do when playing the Bowling game, but let the controller go when you hit the flat angle (0 degrees forward) and see how far it goes.

Bowlers don't fastball it down the alley though, I wouldn't expect it to go more than 2 feet. Theres no reason for it to have enough force behind it to launch, let alone launch and break. Same with the Tennis accidents. You can tell these people have never played the sports before.

I also don't see how, outside of pitching, you can lose grip in Baseball(and Golf.) If it manages to slip out of your hands while both are holding it, perhaps these peoples dainty little girly hands could use some work to roughen them up.

I'm used to 5pin bowling, and i can tell you those balls get moving at a might good clip. I'd be more inclined to believe that the people who DO play the sports to move the remote faster, as its a habit motion.

When you see professional bowling on tv, don't the bowlers go full speed though? I started bowling today, and I went full speed to. Mabey its because i'm new. Mabey the guy was new too. Just gotta get the hang of the remote.

These people have issues. Case closed.

I put some force into my throws, because I've noticed the ball DOES travel faster if I swing a little harder. I still keep a firm grip on my wiimote and it doesn't slip; but when I really bowl I give it some force too, because I like the ball to actually reach the pins.

Because Skaw always gets aggrivated and mad about everything.

BTW: I do have to agree with Skaw though... I honestly don't see ho you could drop the controller with the wrist band... you DID have the wrist band, right? No? Well, that's too bad... your loss. That's what it's for... you know... to not drop the controller.

I like to think of the Wii as natural selection at its best. If you're stupid enough to break an expensive TV with a video game controller, you don't deserve to have an expensive TV in the first place.
