I started playing the first one a few days ago and it's pretty good. I had never heard of it before but I saw it in the PSN store for five bucks so I decided to give it a go. Today I found out there were actually like four more games in the series.

Is the whole series good? Should I bother with the other ones after I finish this one? Will I even be able to find the other ones?

I enjoyed the first one. The 2nd one can be skipped. The 3rd was ok, the artstyle was cell-shaded, one of the first games to be done like that. Never tried 4 or 5 because while fun, the Wild Arms were nothing special.

I love the Wild ARMs series, I'd say play the 2nd one, imo and to a lot of others it's the best in the series. 3rd was more westerny than the others which I loved about it. 4 was definitely the weakest in the series, but still fun to me. 5 is fun, plus having cameos and cameo costume/weapons from previous Wild ARMs 1-4 characters.

There's also a remake of the original for PS2, Wild ARMs: Alter Code F, which is fun, but some people don't like what they cut out, or how they made the battles and skill system similar to 3.

Also a TRPG, Wild ARMs: Crossfire for the PSP, it's a pretty fun strategy title and I'd give it a whirl too.
Now they just need to announce a WA6 for the PS3.

Never tried 4 or 5 because while fun, the Wild Arms were nothing special.

I find a lot in the WA series special, but definitely not for everyone.

Wild ARMs 1, 2, 3 were good. You get what you expect from a traditional RPG experience. Decent storyline, a good mix of easy/tough fights, dungeon crawling. But personally since WA4 and their "kids are good, adults are bad, let's get to point B to eat cotton candy" attitude, I decided to pass them from now on. Don't go wrong though, the gameplay mechanic is top notch but they forgot to add a good storyline to that.

I have nothing to say against Crossfire though, all my friends who played it says it's a good TRPG. Unfortunately for me, it's still on the "to do" list. It's laying somewhere around factory sealed in my game vault lol.

I'd try 5, the story in that is better than what 4 had, it makes up a lot for it.

3>2>1>5>4 is the order of WildARMS for me. I love love loved Wild Arms 3 on the PS1.

Fixed :P

My order would be 2>5>3>1/ACF>4, just my opinion and how I enjoyed the titles.

Wild Arms is my favorite RPG IMHO.

I am playing 5 on PS2 now and XF on my PSP as well. both are very good.

Great games.

Wow every one liked 2, i thought it was the worst of the three I played lol.

For me, 3>1>2.

Wild Arms was a wonderful series. 1&2 were the best, the rest are alright imo.

I'm currently writing a guide I plan to submit to gamefaqs for the first wild arms game on PSX lol. Its a guide to all the crest graph locations! I still got my old psx disc, well, I have 3 of them to be honest. They all work -sometimes- but none work -all the time-.

Still one of my favorite rpgs though.

I haven't played any of the Wild Arm's series, but I've known about it since I was in high school and one of my friends had Wild Arms 3. I saw him play a very small part of it, looked decent.

I should check the series out.
