so yesterday, I was in jeuno and i got a /tell.

"Wanna party in Quicksand Caves?"

HELL yeah i do! i am a 49 drk wanting to get 50 that day....so they tell me to meet them there.

I get a teleport, which dropped me down to 300 gil. I go to rabao to get a choco, down to 200 gil. Halfway there i get a tell "Hey, mind waiting for 1300 exp....then you will get my spot."

I am like, thats cool, i will wait and cheer you guys on at the side lines.

So 5 battles into it, about 30 minutes or so...i get a tell "We are disbanding"

I am like WTF? Why did i come all this way. "Beats me?" they say.

So i am furious....

I get back to jeuno and wait an hour for a party, and i get a /tell in the citadel. Party invite. By the time i get there, they send me a tell saying they disbanded.......


Twice in one freaking day.....people suck.


But later that night i finally got a party and got to 50 at 3 am.....so meh.
 
Oy...I don't like replacing someone in parties because shit like this always happens. I'm a fan of making a pt in jeuno and going together to the XP area and then disbanding after a good 3 hours of XP
 
I've had that happen to me as well, Aggrivates me to no end, especially when they're rude about it >><<
 
I think making the question "How long does everyone plan on staying?" a mandatory question for partying now. This happens a lot and I think wasting peoples time and money is getting out of control.
 
I remember that, Kout. I think you're missing a part of that =/ The Samurai who invited you was very very rude.

The settup started as me (nin), a drk, sam, thf, whm, and blm. =/ As you can see, no refresher or dispeller so when beetles used their Evasion+ move, the battles lasted quite long and chains were hard. The Samurai wanted her level so bad that she invited a Ranger to replace herself after the White Mage said he didn't have much longer. I thought, "ok, if there are no mages up, I guess this will have to do." I was struggling as it was to tank under the conditions, but then, out of nowhere, the blm vanishes and doesn't come back =/ So she invites you to replace the blm.... The whm and I had been talking in /tell about the conditions and about how things would go faster w/ a brd or rdm, but having only a whm? I did a /sea on the level range and there was a brd, smn, whm, AND blm seeking..... I can tell you everyone was mad at the person who invited you two (the ranger and yourself), but we had no say in it really when she did - she did not ask the pt if it was alright. The whm, being royally upset at this, and seeing other mages seeking, sent me a /tell saying he wanted to leave after that fight, and not give her the pleasure of leveling and leaving the pt like that..... so after that fight, we disbanded =/

You must have been pretty upset, and I'm sorry, but just know the only one really to blame for that cenario was the Samurai (Celestin or something like that).

I've made my share of parties =/ but when someone says they have to go, I usually just disband the pt when the time to go comes since ppl have a tendency to lie about how much longer they have. It makes me mad to ask how much longer ppl have and be told "long time" only to have them disband after they get their 1K tnl I wasn't told about =/ which makes me feel guilty for dragging ppl out there. This Samurai on the other hand just wanted her level and didn't care about anyone or anything else :( just grabbed the first jobs she saw w/o asking anyone if it was ok =/

Again, I'm sorry for what happened and I can understand your frustration.
