Will trophies/achievements persuade you to play on a console over the PC?

I think they should release a copy to download onto my ps3's hard drive so I don't have to pay for it again--never gonna happen, but hey a guy can wish. The rewards mean nothing to me though, and the ps3 version of rewards is far more lame than xbox live's.
 
If they do bring it out on xbox I hope they do avatar rewards. Would be pretty cool to have my avatar dressed in some kind of AF.
 
I would rather play the game in September of 2010, not wait until 2011. Pre-ordered CE for PC 8)
 
I wonder if we will be able to link achievements. In WoW once they added them, they became like your online resume on whether you were badass, or a schmuck. I didn't group with anyone for PUG raids without in ICC unless they had hard mode ULD achievements.

Meh. Given that MMOs aren't difficult, about all you learn from that kinda crap is who has the time to invest, not any actual idea of their competence.
 
I realize, but to drag another thread into it, it's kinda like assuming that anyone with their CoP ring will automatically know what they're doing. When, quite frankly, I've seen a wide variety of folks who finished CoP but couldn't be trusted to do a damn thing outside of maybe one narrow specialty.
 
The only thing that is keeping me playing on my PS3 is that I would have to buy a new laptop to run ffxiv on, and I'm in no position to do that (though I really want to). Trophies are nice, but considering that I only have three other friends on the PSN and they all think I'm a loser for playing ffxiv they don't really give me any kind of cred.
