I'm not waiting for a price drop. I'm waiting for them to fix all the inevitable bugs in the system's first generation so I don't get screwed like I did with the PS2.

The only reason I bought a PS2 was to play FFXI. If it is a good game it will be out on the Xbox360, that is where the true gamers are. Socom {No thanks} MGS, {Hmmm} Splinter Cell is better. Truthfully I think the only games I've played on my PS2 were my FF collection and the occasional Rygar or God of War. Oh, and Champions of Norrath, I love that game. If you looked at my PS2 and Xbox selection of games side by side I think I own about 7 xbox games for every 1 PS2 game. Plus sony makes crappy hardware and has the worst customer support of the three big gaming systems. I will give them one thing though, they sure do know how to delay a system.

AHAHAHAHA.. that's the most total crap I've ever heard in my life!! Xbox sucks hardcore. The closest thing to a gamer that plays a Xbox are the people that want the games a bit before they come out on PC. Those people are rare though. Xbox mostly consists of Halo junkies. Real gamers love all types of games and game systems. The biggest gamers now a days are mostly on PC.

As far as the crappy hardware thing, Sony is top class. Xbox is a PC with a few extra things intgrated into the motherboard and has a Windows OS rather than running off a Unix of Linux based OS like all the other systems making it unstable and slow. I could make a million of the same PC, alter the OS a bit so it autoruns the games, put a label on it, and call it a console too.

Splinter Cell is on all other systems including PC. It just started on Xbox. Also, you can't compare MGS and SC as they are very different games.

Edit: Have you seen the specs on the PS3??? They are freakin insane... I never thought that most of that technology would be possible for at least another few years.

As far as the specs go we've done that dance about 1000 times already. 360 = PS3, the only way you're going to see the slightest difference is on a HD and even at that it'll be completely nominal. Where xbox has sony thrashed is online content.

I have to agree with this if the system has a game I want I'll buy it but not for 500 or 600 $ for just 1 or 2 games.

I Bought my 360 Launch day for a couple of reasons , to consolodate my console colection. I have just about every make of console going back to the Intelivision (yes I have an Atari too, no I do not have a 3DO, Yes I have Jaguar).

Sorry PRETTY graphics alone a game does not make, content has to follow.

It's like buying a 500,000 Dollar car and finding it has shifter paddels and a computer gear box instead of a stick, oh wait they already make that it's called the Enzo . .. . Utter disapointment. But that is yet another topic.

But as far as it goes as build quality for consoles Microsoft > Sony END OF STORY!

Some may rebutile this with XBOX sux and it's just a computer.

Granted it uses computer parts but then again if you want to be technical so does the PS3 the Game Cube ( Game cube runs a Power PC Chip I have seen people Sodder a HD to it and load OS 9 on it About all the thing is good for )

Sorry Bustaballs but you do not know what you are talking about.

The XBOX OS is a ground up job from BIOS to OS, ALthough the code structure is shared with that of CE, that is where the similarity ends. The PS2 is Running a off version of linux. On my Modded first gen Xbox which I bought on launch day as well I run dual boot Fedora Xbox.

The reasons for the PS3 delay are simple they have a GPU and a box in which to put it in and not much else but ram. Don't belive me ? The Nazi's at Sony fired a guy @ E3 for saying this exact thing :O ZOMFG!

Looks pretty comparable to me. Again i conceed the HD comparisons will show PS3 to render better but as far as i've heard 3rd parties were psyched alot more about the 360 than they are the ps3. I would imagine this holds doubly true since they can make money faster with the 360 at this point. Regardless of performance the only reason to hold one over the other would be the game titles, even though they will share quite a few of them. There's going to be titles people want on one vs the other, naturally. I still haven't bought a 360 and i wont until i hear less about the defective ones, i wont be buying a ps3 unless they release a ton of games worth a damn, can manage to get their usual design issues under control within a year or two of release, and drop the price.

My money's still on nintendo to deliver me game content tho. Chances are the one i blow a chunk of change on is the revolution simply because i've always been a nintendo kid.

As for ps3 getting delayed til Fall, I wasn't expecting the US launch til fall anyways, and if they can pull off a simultaneous worldwide launch then there's really no delay for me. And MGS4>360 Seriously though, nothing on 360 interests me, and nothing in the future interests me, cept mebbe FFXI, but not buying a 360 just to play an MMO Only games that may "gauge" my interest are the Mistwalker rpgs, but Sakaguchi's past FF games he actually worked on before Microsoft bought him off were crap compared to some of his earlier works, so I won't hold my breath, if they turn out good, they'll be the only reason I buy a 360. But remember FF: Spirits Within? Yea, Sakaguchi worked on that too.

I may get a 360 when their games improve. Most of the launch titles were rushed and are not using 360s true potential. Of course all systems do this. For example, SNES: Mario World vs Donkey Kong; N64: Mario 64 vs Zelda; PS2: Smackdown 3 vs SD Raw 2006 just to name a few have evolved their games quite a bit using more of the sytems power. 360 will eventually do this with games say 2 years or so from now. Not sure if I'll wait that long but I'm waiting to see if more games that come out makes it worth my while for me to buy one. PS3 I'll probably do the same thing. Espcially since they're famous for their bugs. I may wait for later releases for them to resolve those. But yeah right now I have no desire to own a 360 with its current games so I'll keep on waiting. Been wanting to play Perfect Dark but I don't want to spend that kind of money just for that one game.

Who exactly "jumped ship"? because it wasnt any of the Big Names (SquareEnix, Namco, Konami, ect.) I think you're confused by them putting titles onto the 360 since the PS3 is not released yet.

I got the X-Box 360 for titles such as: Oblivion (going PC on this though because of the mod market), Fable 2, Enchant Arm, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey(sp). Basically it seems as though they are going to not ingnore the RPG fanbase as much as they have in the past and have secured some exclusive game titles that I will like to play.

PS3 I am getting simply because they have always had a game line up that suits my tastes. A lot of RPG's, a good mix of RTS, and the occational title like God of War, Shadow Of The Colossus, FF, Shin Megami Tensei series, etc.

I buy systems to play games not because of the brand name of the system. I'll probably eventually get a Revolution as well but I will put that off until the price drops because the only titles that really draw me in anymore from Nintendo are Metroid and Zelda.

Mind you SE is still working on a next gen FF title for ps3, so basically you go where FFXI goes, since 360 is getting that, and another MMO from SE, but single player FF's will probably stay with ps3, or be ps3/360. SE isn't stupid, they know they'll make more money from FF games on PS3 in Japan, tell me how many systems 360 sold in Japan? And it's been out for how many months? And I doubt it's gonna change all that much even with the Japanese developers Microsoft "bought off", Microsoft and Japan just don't mix.
