Wimpy Leaders >_>

I guess I meant that there are players out there who neither read QCDN or BG so they wouldn't know of his reputation, and therefore don't care if they party with him. I can't imagine a whole server is against one single person.

When you're as lame as Urat is, chances are 1 in 6 people will be aware of it and say something. Maybe if he flags up for xp at about 4am in the morning he'll have a decent chance of a bunch of people that don't know him, but not during busy NA hours.

You know, TG already said it, but you could just take your own advice here instead of bitching about how people dislike you and that is the reason you're getting booted from parties.

Also, I have a hard time believing that you have this happen to you all the time.

it happens to him a lot I'd imagine I've had bad experiences with him during the 2-3 minotaur run lol, it's usually because of his attitude or him making things harder than they need to be to the point where no one(including him) knows what he's talking about.

He shouts in whitegate sometimes too. I know one time where he was talking about how store tp gear would help more then haste for a dnc, or something like that. Then talking about gear that he has but he couldn't even equip cause they to high lvl for him. How can someone do tests on gear they can't equip? . _.

That being said though, I wouldn't be ok with a leader kicking him because 1 person didn't like him. Why can't that member leave or blist urat?

Doing an event with someone on your blist can negatively impact productivity. Lets say your skillchain partner was on your blist. Probably wouldn't hit many skillchains. Or if your tank is on your blist and you're the WHM. Won't see him hollering for an erase/paralyna/whatever.

The existing party member could leave. But, as a leader, why would you let someone you knew was good and making a solid contribution to your party leave to have some person you know nothing about join? If the person who is saying they'll leave sucks balls anyway, then you may be no worse off, but I don't see any logic in letting someone who is good leave in favor of having some unknown fucker and hoping they're as good or better.

You get kicked 'cause people don't like you?

Not a surprise, but I need to ask, how often does that happen?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its not because they don't like you (Hell, a lot of people dislike me...), but because they think you're a complete gimp noob. I've partied with people on here that I'm sure dislike me, like Bajaratt etc, and to my knowledge they didn't ask the leaders to kick me, and I didn't ask for them to be kicked. Like you say, don't try to be friends with the guy, but I at least know they can do their job properly and won't be a waste of a spot.

The only time I request for someone to be kicked is if I know said guy is gimp or have no clue how to play their job.

You also can't invite someone on your b-list, so if you're ever asked to build parties it can be annoying. I know from experience lol.

Additionally, exactly what is the point of /blisting someone in-game when you don't like them on QCDN? I never understood that. The only time I put someone on /blist is when they spam something in /shout, /tell or /party.

If you need to talk to someone in order to do a skillchain, you have much bigger problems.

Was gonna comment on that too, but double post <.<;

While we're at it, the tank shouldn't have to say "Paralyna please" etc. in a exp situation...

I assumed she meant a TP call in partychat.

I assumed she meant a TP call in partychat.

Which also isn't incredibly necessary to need in order to accomplish a skillchain.

Generally saving TP for skillchain isn't beneficial to the party anyway, unless you have BLM's, and even then I'd say it is arguable. Personally, 50-60 or so, I think its better to just use your strongest WS, and maybe occasionally follow up with a SC if someone just WS'd.

Urat seems to try to lean towards the more solo aspects of the game.

So do I. Difference is, when I do team up with others, I'm not a douchebag and as a result I don't find myself getting booted constantly, or ever.

Everything else aside, refusing to pt with someone because of something you read on the internet is insane.

Make your own judgements.

I read so much shit about Peregrine back whenever that was going on but when I pt'd with him he wasn't that bad, just fucking weird.

I don't think the issue for Urat is what other people have said about him on QCDN, its what he's said that make people avoid him.

To be fair, I read shit about players (Enrollox comes to mind) on more than one occassion, and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Wound up totally regretting it.

Or, I'm a dancer. Yeah I can understand that I guess, there are a tonne of people in this game who have never even partyed with one yet and can onyl go on the general hearsay of the mass that we suck (Which we kind of do at most levels)

the dancer argument? Yar, we do really suck at most levels and that I get. but honestly we're a very underestimated job. Compared to a bard, that can only have 2 songs at once, I can give you all an acc boost, att boost, haste, without barely lifting a finger, WHILE DDing, AND Curing better than most mages can.

I seriously doubt it's because you're a dancer.....,but if you wanna blame your job rather than yourself, go right ahead.

I'm not up on the hip and flameboard drama and past events mainly because I don't like ganging up on a person with a bunch of others but what exactly did Urat do to get such enmity against him.

For sake of discussion, let's just say you're a douchebag. Why then would you question why people constantly seem to dump your ass on the curb?

Unless of course you don't happen to know you're a douchebag, despite everyone telling you that you, in fact, are a douchebag.

Shit, the guy gets picked up often enough. His "reputation" only causes him so much grief. It's what he PROVES to people time and time again that does the real damge.

It's not because he's a douchebag or people don't like him. I've only once run in to the problem of being rejected a party because someone don't like me, which surprises me considering what an ass I can be in parties if people suck. I'd say it is more likely because people find him to be a moron or think he's bad at his jobs from the posts he make on here and don't want to waste his time with it.

Personally I build by opinion of how people perform after, you know, actually being in a party situation with them, but that's just me.

I recall a friend and I tossed a decent party together, we're were going good, when suddenly a guy lfp flag up walks up. The 3 JPs then say Dancer Disband.

I reply ? huh!?

They just repeats said message, and threaten for all 3 of them to leave if the leader, my friend, doesn't kick me. I told him it was cool and I left. some people hate the job so much to the point they'll look for a replacement. It's generally the jps though, of the 5 times its happened 4 of them were from jps, all of which was a brd.

I'm not whining about people hating me, I'm just expressing that it pisses me off when you throw a hissy fit over my presence when you're not even the leader

Honestly, if you dont like me that much, disband, go make your own party and don't invite me. Last few times this has happened the party had to disband because the leader just couldn't find a rep.

I can totally get if your the leader though, by all means, don't invite me, it's up to you. But if you're not, and we haven't even started killing yet, just get over yourself.

I know how to play my job, and many people can agree that I am very good at what I do. I stick in parties for as long as physically possible, I try and find my own reps instead of making the leader, I know all of my best wild flourish combos to maximize dot, I can main heal, DD, pull, and soon tank. If you're threatening to leave party or get me kicked, thus causing the leader a headache to hunt down new people, just on a simple presumption that I don't know how to play my job... I just dunno what to say.

It's very disappointing to see some people are so wrapped up in their own egos to try and overstep the leader I suppose. =/
