ok, so i was loitering around my start menu and found a program caled winamp, i instaled it and ran it. Problem is i dont know what its for, i know it plays mucis, but is that al it does?

uve gotta be kidding me. Well, u can play videos on it too, although i prefer DivX for that. The reason I like winamp is because the equalizer is the most normal one ive seen...dunno...it prolly isnt true, but I think the sound quality is better from it.

what? i barely know anything about computers /blush
anyway, i heard someppl play music with this during FFXI, how is this done? im getting tired of sumerfest music^^;
plz dont make fun of me, im not a computer wiz like u guys!

I think u just run a playlist before u launch ffxi...unless theres some fancy way u guys are doing where your still able to control the app...*shrugs* Anyway, run winamp, run ffxi, turn ffxi music off, and enjoy winamp.

Well, you'd start winamp, then the game. I don't like that solution - a better one is to change the in game music. However, summerfest is over after today (thank god.)

OH NO!!! Its over today, i forgot! I DIDNT CATCH ANY GOLDFISH!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!! WHYYYY!!!!!? :(

baby steps, bro, baby steps. hehehe. If you find it complicated, do your homework and research what you didnt understand. Better yet, ask us. Some ppl might get fed up when someone asks a question without looking it up themselves, but if the explanation itself will prolly confuse you, then its not a prob. At least it aint for me. What dont you understand?

what a plug in is? what sneakyamp actually does to winamp, what "convert to MFC" means. this moslty;

No installer. Put gen_snkamp in your plug-in directory, and snkyamphook.dll in Winamp.exe's directory. Nearly identical to the SneakyAmp 2.0 beta, with some extra commands and optimizations.

Includes these mostly undocumented commands, which can only be edited from the plugin.ini file in Winamp's plugin directory:

jump - Mimics the "jump to file" window

shift - Shifts songs currently in the playlist to the next song position

addnext - Inserts new songs to be played next

cd - Starts a cd playing

plug in directory? :oops:
