Wings of the Goddess E3 screens

Personally I want Mystic Knight/Sorcerer or Geomancer, if either of those get added, I'd be a happy camper.
I wasn't expecting new jobs at all either, that totally hit me by surprise when I read that.

Sorcerer? What would be the difference of that and Blm? A HQ version of Blm?

Basically a melee job with stronger versions of En spells, and En-status effects, and whatnot, could tune it to work as a tank too.
Stranger things have happened, I'm just trying to think of which jobs they could add that would work in FFXI, although SE could rework most jobs from FF history to get to work in XI, or design new jobs.

Chocobo Knight would certainly be interesting, the art shows it may be a possibility, but how it'd work I have no clue. They'd have to redesign the game from the ground up to get it to work I think.

You have to use the ocarina of time to switch between worlds,

Heres my guess. This has to take place before the great war, probably soon after Jeuno was established, i think a bunch of us are hoping to participate in the war, but i dont think SE wants to do rendering of damage to places as it happens.

It can't go back to the kuluu or zilart times because jueno wasnt established then. SO if im right about the time frame, then there will be some sort of villain who is probably angered at the course of history, who goes back in time to stop the shadow lord from being killed the first time. I'm hoping for alot of Raogrimm, Zeid, northlands expedition cameos, and you helping to keep them on the right path.

I'm also hoping we will finally find out where the ferry in norg goes to, they wouldn't render it if it didn't eventually have a purpose (much like how the trees near the swirling vortex in Valkurm magically moved over when COP was released)

I'm finding it fun to guess, there are alot of clues but you never know how many of them will lead nowhere, maybe the city of Tavnazia will be available.

something about the final CS in the AN fight made me think also, but i don't want to cross into spoiler territory.

Magic Knight is an interesting job concept, since it'd actually work in FFXI... more or less a basic melee, with freaking strong en-spells that probably add more damage than Berserk at mid levels...

I still fail to see a Geomancer that isn't NIN/BLM without shadows, but who knows, NIN/BLM without shadows but with ga spells might not be so bad.

I guess Time Mage is a given, though I still can't see it being any good... a RDM without enfeebles or cures, that gets decent buffs and DoT's at high levels? That just doesn't sound right. It looks like a RDM, smells like a RDM, but can't heal like a RDM. I can definitely see it as another Refresh job, though... the RDM spell, not -another- 3 MP/tic for mages.

The only way I can understand Time Mage working without completely cloning a job, is access to the ability to shorten reuse/recasts, and debuffs on players/buffs on monster durations, while increasing buffs on players/debuffs on monster durations.

And if you think about having a job that can do that, it's pretty badass actually.

i wonder if i can kick maat's ass when hes 20-40 years younger.

That would be pretty bad-ass... almost too bad-ass to make it through SE's anti-fun machine. But who knows, COR survived the process, maybe TIM (TMG?) could too.

"Hey Doc, I know we get to time travel and stuff, but why is pup still utter shit?"

"Great Scott, Marty! That warrior just did a 2378 rampage!"

We have to get the chocobo up to 88 mph!

The issue there becomes more "a tank job lots of people are willing to play"... and towards that end I do not immediately see how tanking can be made more interesting than the Paladin or Ninja archetypes are.

Part of the issue is what people actually want to do with their time... /nod/ to Mai's comments about certain jobs getting through the "anti-fun" filter.

All in all, with the CoP team behind it, new jobs, a return to the Crystal War... I'm psyched for this expansion, and I think most people are.

In MMO's there's usually 3 types of tanks: a melee tank, a dark magic tank, and a holy tank. We have jobs that fit these, however some of them are lacking in defense (WAR and DRK)
I don't really know what other routes there are to go with tanking. They could make a tank that gives party buffs. They could make a job with a 'familiar' type pet which does not attack and only casts buffs.

Holy shit!! If this is for High levels I'd better get to level 75 fast! (Damn, this'll be far too hard ;_;)

:( i hate the ps2's now. Because of them i can't have mah Veiras!! ; ;

you MysticKnight would be something to look forward to, it'd be a more melee aimed RDM with a Hauby >: D

I don't wana burst anyones bubble.... but Time mage probably wont be an option since it doesn't really have much to use personally (eg: haste slow).

I doubt we'll find out where the ferry goes. The ferry probably go to the lower jeuno hide out anyway. I'm guessing that's what they get their shop stock from. Reason I doubt we'll see where the ferry goes, is due to KAzham and Norg being part of the RotZ expansion. Doubt we'll be seeing the new Tavnazia due to it being part of ToAU. The old one is a possibility, it depends on when it takes place.
