Well, after a long time of being overweight, I have finally started taking steps to lose between 50 and 100lbs.

I've joined Medical Weight Loss Clinic (Any other fellow Michiganders might have seen the commercials on TV), and they're really wonderful and supportive. As of Friday I've lost 3 pounds, and I've only been in the program for 5. If anyone wants, I'll give updates, and post new photos as I lose 10-20 pounds, so you can see the results.

Everyone in QCDN wish me luck! I need all the support I can get!

Go Yomi Go!

That's totally awesome and I wish you the best of luck :D

Good luck! Hopefully your menus now are a little more varied

Yeah, I no longer have to eat only Red Meat and Salad, I swear though, they have me eating more than I've ever eaten in my life.

4 Veggies a day: (One half green pepper, one cup mushrooms or green beans, for example)
3 starches a day: (One 1/4th cup pasta or brown rice 1 slice Diet Bread, yes diet bread exists)
3 Fruits a day: (One apple, one orange, a half cup of strawberries, or rasberries)
2 & 1/2 protiens a day: (One egg, 6& 1/2 oz of chicken or turkey, or 7& 1/2 oz of fish or shirmp)

On top of that, I have to drink 64oz of water, 8oz of milk, and eat 3 of their "Nutriant" supliments a day. It's all mostly powdered stuff that turns into something. Also, I have to eat a "Plus" bar, which is some kind of diet bar.

That is...a LOT of food. I keep getting full after lunch, and ill after dinner. I wish I could drop a veggie or fruit. ;_;

Whenever I see low-carb or diet bread at the store, it makes me giggle :D

Yeah, me too -_-. Low-Carb is a sin to me. It's really quite stupid in my opinion, Italians and most Asians LIVE off of starches. Pasta and Rice! Both big no-no's because they "Turn to Sugar".

One of these days I'll prove you can eat as much starch and such as you want, just as long as you don't overeat on fat.

Last year I went on a diet and new fitness plan.

8 months later...

I have lost over 40 pounds and managed to build some muscle in the meantime.

The first month was a bitch but now, it just gets easier and easier.

Now I am physically fit, back to my fitness level that I achieved while in the military. (4 years of in-activity)

Now 6'2" 200lbs. and full of energy plus, so long as I keep going to the gym I can eat just about anything I want.

I am glad I made the change, and if you stick with it, you will be too.

Keywords of the day for you:

Mental Strength

Keep Going!

Thanks for your support Mo, Aparently, I'm going to have lost 50 pounds by February, (according to their plan) if that goes well, I'm going for another 50.

5'3 150 would be perfect for my body size.

Good to hear a sucess story!

Congratulations! I wish you the best of luck and hope you get great results. Don't stress yourself out too much on numbers and such though, as long as you do your best. I used to go to the gym 3-4 times a week like 2 years ago, when I was dorming at college and had easier classes. Now I just try to walk to my destinations so I can burn some stuff off. Roughly weigh 149-152 and I'm 5'9". I'm not in bad shape, but I was better before, need to start working out again.

Anyway, good luck with the weight loss and keep us informed, we're all rooting for you!

"Screw you guys. I'm gonna be the one on TV lookin' all buff!"

Hehe.
Good luck and have strength and patience. You'll be fine.

You guys are all so sweet. I really know that it's going to be a lot easier to lose weight knowing that I have a bunch of people cheering me on. I'll give weekly updates on my weight and progress!

Much Loves! <3

Naw, Weightlifting slows you down. Pick up some real Martial Arts.

"The more you sweat in Training the less you Bleed in combat"

So no Kickboxing, Karatay, Muay Thai, or anything like that. Try Aikido or Jiu-Jitsu, or maybe even Kendo or Judo, although those are a little too much like Sports.

But in any Case. Get Active
