id put this in good times but idk whats good about poking ur eyes

Really dont like the idea of contacts i wouldnt be able to do it if i had to use them :?

Glasses>Contacts.

Contacts are a pain in the ass... they get dry and itchy and they just plain suck. :x

i wore contacts for about 5 years straight after switching between glasses and contacts since i was 13.. then got really sick of wearing them.. my eyes hurt all teh time and my blood vessels got real swollen.. i switched to glasses..

i love them again but i do miss my contacts sometimes.. what i dont miss is falling asleep with my contacts in and waking up with my eyes feeling like shit, or having to buy contact solution, or having to bring the stuff with me everywhere when i was gonna stay somewhere overnight, or getting shit under my contact.. etc..

:)

It's just too hard to have sex while wearing glasses, all the precipitation makes for extremely humid conditions and they slide off your face at times, so I switch to contacts. But yeah it's a bitch when you gata get outta bed, or off the floor just to take em out when you're ready to sleep or goto school/work.

Glasses are so much more comfurtable and they complete the look. Although at times I wish I wore contacts for sports.

I find it interesting that over 70% of those voting in this poll require vision correction, especially considering the fact that almost certainly well over 95% are younger than 40. I wonder if staring at a screen all day has anything to do with this. XD

I wear contacts, and since I was 15 I wore glasses, up until I was about 20. Then I discovered contacts. For all you nay sayers and contacts bashers havent discovered what I have. I got the nice expensive ones, the kind you only change once a month, and can sleep in overnight. So lets see... I change them once a month, and sleep in them every night. Its next to having perfect vision and not having to wory about any BS like laser surgery or bulky and ugly glasses.

I used to wear glasses when I was young, then once I got to high school I switched to contacts and honestly I love them. The whole rountine of taking them off at night and putting them in their case is no problem with me, I'm much happier now than with my glasses. Over the years I will admit there are times when they get dry and make my eyes irratated, but its a small price to pay for not having to wear those annoying glasses. I really should have a backup pair though, all I have is contacts, if I ever lose them, oh damn, I seriously screwed.... :x

I don't need either, but personally I'll take a pretty girl in glasses over one without anyday

Lasic(sp?) eye surgery ftw!!!! Right now I'm saving for that. $2,100.00 and I'm ready to go!!!! I've worn glasses/contacts since I was in 3rd grade. I'm 43 now. That's a long damn time to be blind^^. I'm so ready for the surgery.

Btw, I've worn both for so long I'm comfortable in either. I also purchase the type of contacts that you can sleep in and it not bother your eyes.

Thats not how you spell it :P

Lasik ^^.

Should do alot of research Kat, All my friends and family that have done it got 20/20 or better vision. There is also alot of other alternatives out there, some better some worse. Considering the complications though should research because you could get halos and such, and I think after time you need to re-do it  . I think your doctor is the biggest measure of success so choose well.

But I havent' personally heard a bad story yet except for online.

Yeah, same thing, everyone I know in real life who I've known gotten it has 20/20 or better post surgery. Maybe the people who failed don't say anything... :? who knows... But I don't know anyone getting it without telling me before hand so, I wish you a good experience with that. I think I'm going to end up getting it soon >.<

I had three family members do laser surgery. Two uncles and my dad. My uncles both had bad experiences, vision got worse for one and the other lost vision in one eye. My dad faired the best, he went from being able to only see up close, to only see distant. Now he wears glasses for reading instead of driving. Hopefully the technique will improve with time so the result is more reliable.

Don't get the laser surgery unless you can live with going blind. The risk is very real.

Do you guys have bad astigmatism? I have that and was wondering about that before I did it. They say that makes your chances worse along with dry eyes which I have also sometimes.

I've had contacts since I was in 8th grade and I've just switched between them and glasses. Contacts can invariably be annoying at times, but so can glasses. Either way, I can see perrty gewd.
