i was considering coming back to ffxi but id have to make a new accnt, I gave my other one away, so id have to start over. I dont have much of a problem with this, but I was wondering if starting out is still doable...

I am really only looking for input from recent newcomers to the game here, im not new to this game at all, but id have to play as if I was (aka rank sj quests, dunes etc).

I heard from a few friends that tried to start over for fun that it was nearly impossible to get a party.

other than dunes, how is everything else, i mean honestly does anyone still do ZM and CoP and stuff?

I know on my original accnt I was done with ZM and CoP a very long time ago, rank as well

There's a CoP static thread in event scheduling like every week, and I'm sure if you try to make a ZM static thread you can get some replies as well. Missions are still being done by people, it shouldn't be that much of a hassle.

hey man im starting over also, my account got destroyed by my parents. Look me up if u wanna party or sumthin. My new account is not made yet but sometime soon ill be on.
 
CoP is nice because you can progress through it as you hit level 30, 40, 50, etc. With the new EXP rewards and no EXP loss during death in CoP battlefields, you should have no problem finding help for those. ZM is a whole 'nother ball of wax though...
