-thx

For woodworking, you will break even or make money all the way to 60 making bolts and arrows. Print this out, put your head down, and grind away. With advanced help, you can make things 7-9 levels ahead of your current skill level successfully.

Can't help you with the other two =\

edit: bbcode tags are dumb

Smithing and goldsmithing will cost you quite a chunk to get to 60. Those you just have to suck it up and take it.

you're a high level mage, i can only suggest one thing to you, aquire your own clusters and you'll cut your costs by so damn much... you can get about 12 earth clusters in one weather system in tahrongi...

speaking of which, get me more *poke*

and WW is, once you average it out, profitable to 69.

first stage is Lumber crafting, its generaly a good idea to save Lumber, since you'll use it. also, buy logs where possible from carpenters landing, useing the north sandy entrance. its cheeper, and they never run out.

Arrowwood to 3 (save all lumber)
Ash to 8 (you can sell, but these make bolts, so it doesnt matter much)
willow to 13 (may as well save, since they make willow wands, that are guild point items)
maple table to 17 (save also *if you have room* worth alot of guild points)
Yew to 22 (sell, 7k a stack in sandy)

from this point, you make arrows til 69. so stock up on earth crystals and arrowwood lumber. also, Sell all arrows in Jeuno.

Silver to 30
beetle to 39
Fang to 42
Horn to 49
scorpion to 59 (you can do somthing inbetween horn and scorpion if you want, since its a 10 level gap)
Demon to 69 (see Horn>Scorpion)

post 69 in WW is mostly loss, but you can always go back and whip up some Shihei for cash, or some arrows.

also, around 45, invest the money into a Lumberjack with your guild points, so you can make your own arrowwood lumber. you can HQ 6-12 at 45 at a decent rate. Buy the logs from Carpenters landing, since they never run out.

I've had them run out of Ash 3 times

Demon to 69 (see Horn>Scorpion)

I'm finding Darksteel bolts to be the best bridge here. Closest thing to a break even synth I could find. You know of anything better?

In crafting speed and cheap can not be used in the same sentance. Goldsmithing to 60... ha ha ha... I think Batchparu set a record for getting GS to 60, he bought 7 mil offa IGE and pissed it ALL away in the span of 2 weeks and had nothing to show for it other then GS in the high 50s. Which is basicaly useless.

Actually believe it or not, they DO run out of logs in Carpenter's Landing. I didn't think they did either but once later into a gameday I was going to make some arrowwood lumber for some arrows and when I got there they were sold out. It's the only time I've ever seen it though so in general you can craft there forever w/o any problems.

Goldsmithing (and I'd assume smithing) is a pain in he butt in my experience....which is to lvl 10, alot of ore so no stacking and alot of money. I seriously spent maybe 60k to get from 1-10 ( could have broken even but needed to keep brass ingots), but here is probably alternate ways. I suggest you find a good supply of zinc ore >.>;. But in all truth do some studying and try to do multiple craft synths. I'm enjoying synthing coronettes right now seeing both skills raise. The best thing to do is STUDY guides, pick out what synths you are going to do, find the npcs you need and places to farm.

Come join my LS; I can hook you up with some experienced people in those areas.

/shameless plug =P.

Contact me in game for cooking help. I have it up to 42 and still going. :D

For goldsmithing, it can be rather painless if you couple it with mining ores. And im pretty sure it could be the same with smithing. From 0-20 goldsmithing i actually gained at least 50k + the ores i sold for gil.

Well so far with cooking, I made money. Pineapple juice is a godsend lol
