Well I usually don't do or say much on this particular forum, but I had a busy day at work last night/this morning and I felt like sharing.
First off, not a whole lot of people, at least not many QCDN'ers know what I do for a living. Well, back in November I quit my lame ass job as a clerk at a gas station (not exactly brag material, but it payed bills) and was hired to work as a Correctional Officer with Corrections Corporation of America (aka. C.C.A.). I live in the shitty shitty tourist town of Panama City, FL. CCA runs the Bay County Jail and the Annex, as well as a Prison. I work for the jail.
Now.. I'm not sure how many of you keep up with the news, hell I hardly keep up with it at all myself, but we recently picked up one Mr. Joe Francis. A man whom I'm sure plenty of the guys around here know by name, and if you don't he's the owner/creator of the "Girls Gone Wild" videos. He was brought in on Tuesday.

Apparently, the dipshit marshalls that brought him in didn't search him very well, if at all. They escorted him up the whole way until he was in a cell. And btw that article is slightly wrong, he's not on the 1st floor, he's on the 3rd. >_> Anyway, so apparently he tried to bribe an officer on that floor last night to get him a bottle of water by saying he'd give him $100. Well the officer no, and told a supervisor, Francis was then taken out and pat searched, quite possibly for the first time since he arrived and what do you know.. he ends up having $700 in cash on him and a few pills of Xanax (I cant remember how to spell it).
Well now he's facing even more charges, like attempt of bribing and officer and possession of narcotics.
Sorry, but when you walk in here wearing the blue's, you're treated like any other inmate no matter who you are. Thing is.. apparently he had a bottle of water in his cell earlier, before the whole pat search thing. So.. I'm just thinking someone might have taken the money once. Since there's no way he could get a bottle of water unless someone gave it to him, and he's in a whole pod by himself. Also, inmates dont get water bottles, they can order soda's off the commissary and they get milk and juice (read: shitty kool-aid) with their meals.
It's gonna be fun *sarcasm* for the next few days or weeks, depending on how long he stays. But considering he's high profile, and the fact that he had court this morning, I can't say for sure how long he'll be staying. Joy of joys. I hope he gets the hell out of here as soon as he can, but its kind of neat having an actual celeb in the jail.

It's just a type of search you do, it can also be considered frisking or called a pat down. The most simple search you can do, but if we wanted to we have the right to do a strip search on any inmate. <_<; But lets just say there better be a good reason.
