Just a teaser trailer:

So yeah, this is a DS RPG by Sega, and features sky pirates(give us SoA2 already!), the plot from what has been unveiled so far sounds good, and basically it's that you're on a world (well duh), where humans are basically livestock for the ruling beastmen, and sand fills the roles of water and fire.
The main character is recruited by the WDC (World Destruction Committee) to assist in destroying their world, since well it sucks with the beastmen, and the main character is the only one who can do it.

Battle system is turn-based with time-based and fighting game elements.

But what makes me really giddy is the fact that there's several key staffers working on this title who's previous works include Xenogears/Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross and etc.

Such as Masato Kato as scenario writer(CT/CC/FFVII/Xenogears script writer/event planner/story planner), Yasunori Mitsuda as composer(composed CT/CC/Xenogears/Xenosaga ep 1/Shadow Hearts 1/2), Kunihiko Tanaka as character designer(designed Xenogears and Xenosaga ep 1 characters)

Plus it has a large budget:
- the game will be on a a 2GB card, the biggest ever used on a DS game
- it will contain 300 "cinématiques" (not sure if it means "CG movies" or mere "story dialogues")
- it will feature digitalized voices
- it will cost almost 6000 yen, the price of a wii game in Japan, a regular DS game costing 4900 yen there
- it will feature a "large variety of locations and maps"
- at least the main theme will be orchestrated by the Prague philarmonic

Plus that pirate bear in my avatar? That's a character in World Destruction, so cute, that's the best thing about it... ok so not really :P

But yeah, I really hope this releases in NA, more DS rpgs is always good, plus it has a lot of potential to be great. This releases in Japan sometmie this summer.
