A friend of mine just picked up FFXI, and he is eager as heck to get on it, right now!!! lol I would also like for him to have some time to run around before I get on tonight to show him the ropes.

I am hoping someone will be kind enough to pm me a world pass, and I'll pay you back, plus some, when I get on tonight.

He would greatly appreciate it.

If it is after 6:00pm central standard time do not bother getting the pass for I will not be around after that time.

Can't get on either, else i'd do it in a heartbeat... One of my Char's is RIGHT NEXT to the WP lady in bastok... /sigh

If i manage to logon i'll get ya that WP...
Btw, it's 5pm in Brazil, how long till 6 ur time?

I really appreciate the effort guys. It is 3 hours till 6pm.

I'll make sure to post here as soon as I get a pass, if I get one, so that no one wastes their time, and my gil, hehe
 
Is a Gold World Pass OK? (The character in the first slot has to be empty
for him to use it)

There's World Passes, then there's Gold World Passes.

World Passes, you know what those are, so I don't have to explain.

Gold World Passes allow whoever used it to get all the Event items
(The "Yukata"s, "Horror Head", "Dream Hat", "Trick Staff") in their
delivery box over the course of several months.

The only catch is on the character select screen, the FIRST slot
has to be open. So the first character slot on the "Character Select" screen
has to be empty.
 
In short, as long as this is the FIRST character he's creating, the first one
he's using, then it's fine.

So is this going to be his FIRST character?

So how does one go about keeping that slot empty. I assumed that as you created characters they filled in automatically.

Does that also mean you would have to have two characters right off the bat?

Sorry, if I'm being dense about it.
