Who's it goin' to be sports fans?

A lot of the ESPN analyst are calling for a BoSox sweep but hell, I've gotta put my money on Colorado even though their streak is due for a close. I also hate the Sox.

well i am a sox fan so i would like to see the sox win but... on the other hands the storybook ending is definately going the rockies way atm so i think they are going to do it.

Rockies in five
win loss win win win

Hardcore sox fan here...so you know what I think :P

I'm scared to death of the way the rockies have been playing though. On paper they should not be in the world series compared to the teams they beat...but they beat those teams so obviously they have something going for them.

I think it'll be a good series, but I think Boston wins it in 6 and I go absolutely crazy again like I did in 2004 :D

I hope the sox win since I live here in CO and loath the state.

You should probably leave then. I mean, in your own interest.

Guess.

P.S. Wakefield being left off the roster makes me sad.

Beckett may in-fact be God.

I <3 the Sox more and more each time I watch them.

I'll be buying my Beckett Jersey real soon I think.

13-1???? I love that dirty water babyyyy

elohel 9-1 in the fifth. HA! 21-22 games huh?

That streak was meaningless after they took as long of a break as they did. The Rockies got screwed in the ass big time. Highly doubt they can get the momentum they had back, which is too bad since it would of made for a far better series.

lmao, 13-1. Well so far so good. I don't know baseball that well, but isn't 13-1 comparative to being as massive of a loss as like 30-3 in football?

Something like what USC did to Notre Dame on Saturday. Thats comparable.

13-1 doesn't happen too often. And it really doesn't happen often in the playoffs. And it really doesn't happen often in the World Series. Boston is as red hot right now as the Rockies were a month ago, especially on the offensive side of the plate. Everyone is contributing for the first time this post-season and when they are clicking, I'm not sure who you can put on the mound to stop them.

Only problem is gonna be when the series goes back to Colorado and Boston either loses Ortiz's bat, or has to put him the the field ::shudder::, though I don't see how you can do that with the way Youklis has been hitting also.

Ortiz actually isn't all that bad defensively believe it or not. He's not going to win a gold glove, but he can hold his own in national league play. I'm not too worried defensively, although the surface at Coors field tends to play a little faster than at Fenway.

I'm more worried about losing Youkilis' bat in the #2 slot. He and Pedroia together have been absolutely incredible the last 4 games. Breaking up that table-setting duo is gonna suck, but hopefully we go into Colorado with a 2-0 lead so we'll have some breathing room just in case it does come back to Boston for 6 or 7.

You may even see Youk play a little 3-bag with Francona putting RBI machine Mikey Lowell on the shelf (at least to start a game) with JD Drew slipping into the 5 hole vs the right hander Jimenez. With Jimenez being a rookie, it might be a good idea to get Youk into the 2 spot to fight off some pitches and work up the pitch count. You saw what Youk and Pedroia did to Carmona in game 6...I was there that game and it was awesome.

Either way you look at it, the sox will be losing out offensively playing on a National League stage. Pulling Mike Lowell isn't exactly like putting Alex Cora in for Julio Lugo, but I wouldn't be all that surprised if Francona opted to sit him to start game 3 in favor of Youk at 3rd, which would get Drew's left handed bat behind Manny against Jimenez.

How can anyone hate Colorado?

As far as the baseball, idc.

Yea i turned the tv off after the 5th cause i knew the game was over Boston really needs to win the game tonight to help them out. Since they will have to play Ortiz at 1st base which he idk if i've ever seen a game and watch him play 1st base but i hear he really isn't the greatest 1st baseman in the world.

I've heard what the ESPN guys have said and i'm pretty sure Boston is going to win this series cause they have more experience and plus they have been there before. With Colorado this is there 1st time being to the big game so i mean they are a good ball club look what they did but like Tim said they lay off of 8 days probably hurt them and also Boston has been on a roll. Hell remember they came back 3-0 to the Yankees which i fuck him that team also.

So my money is on Boston will i be watch the game tonight of course so GO BOSTON ^^
