Nice post Cohi. Also, very true.

OH and TA did a fantastic job on both wyrms, and should be commended for it, not have their thread crapped on.

What's the matter Deci, you jealous? Quit bein' so damn pessismistic. They rocked, you know they rocked and you've yet to rock on something like this.

PS. I still say it's Alg kicking y'all in your asses to get your butts in gear since he's come back^^. Go Algarius!!!! hahahaha

Whats so pessimistic about my last post... go read it.

Our first kills were always with LS members only. We didn't start trying out people on wyrms until recently.

What does 'recently' define itself as? Your last attempt at the wyrms? Several weeks? One month or more? And you are also suggesting that Enore and Neophytal have been members of Kaizen from the beginning? Enore told me how he was asked to go and kill Jorm with you guys but he didn't receive a pearl until later. And what about all the times I heard from Neophytal that he was asked at the last minute to show up for events like Wyrms time and time again but still never got a pearl because his membership was still pending. That doesn't sound like actual LS members to me fighting the Wyrms. Correct me if I am wrong but your statement is inaccurate Almaut about LS members only.

Anyways; 2 wyrms are dead on the server by groups who never accomplished that task.

We've been doing wyrms since around april of last year and at that time, our main try out area was sky. Neo and Enore have only been in the shell for a few months now so we've been doing wyrms way before they were being considered getting into the LS.

umm how did i get brought into this? yeah, i had to try out, but they were killing wyrms long before i was involved with them. i have been in the shell for probably about 4 months or so now.

lets not start an argument in this thread-- i dont see why we have to be brought up regarding this matter.

You aren't brought into this thread in a bad way at all Neophytal. The point is that they were asked to help Kaizen kill the wyrms and they weren't members at the time. You used opporunities to kill the Wyrms as tryouts for potential members. This is the point that I am trying to demonstrate here to people. OH has outsourced people just as Kaizen has done before. Not a new practice for any HNM LS on any of the FFXI servers. But I am sure that Decidence's 'research' came across that at one point or another.

i don't really see your need to point this out in a topic dedicated to your own win.

first, if you want to go by recent, i'll explain how things work in our LS. when we first started sky, we normally held skill try-outs on kirin only. once we started engaging the bigger wyrms, we felt that kirin was an inadequate testing ground, so essentially anyone who has joined since our first few tiamat kills has been recruited on the basis of how well they performed at vrtra, and vrtra only. enore was the exception. so if you want to nitpick there, then yeah alm must have forgotten about it. our first few tiamat/vrtra wins consisted of people who were already in LS. in regards to firestreak, no we've never asked for or had any type of alliance or agreement, outside of the people we've tried out, in order to engage wyrms.

yeah, we've had people that were non-LS members join our fights, but we'd already killed 2/3 without tryouts (enore at jorm the exception), meaning LS only. if you really want to go further into it, almost anybody whom we ask to tryout with us, is normally invited to join the LS shortly after a fight. we have a pre-tryout discussion for people whom we are considering, and it's extremely rare (i.e. they decline our invite) that they don't get in after the fight anyway. if it really matters to you guys, yeah we have some try-outs for our wyrm kills. but to us, the people we bring in are almost considered as being in the LS in the first place. i guess that's up others if they feel the need to make a distinction.

the circumstances between testing 1-3 people on their skills at an already precedented fight, as opposed to having two LS's team up to kill something for their first time, are much different. i understand you're using us to make a defensive point towards decidence, but it's really not the same thing. we have people try-out so we can test their play-style, not because we require them to win.

No, it doesn't really matter to me, and I don't really want to nitpick. Decidence is the one who is nitpicking, I couldn't care less as to the circumstances to your victories, simply pointing out comparisons I saw based on information I heard(although its accuracy varies). I was led to believe your first Wyrm kill involved a Japanese shell, I was led to believe you try out members at Wyrm fights now. Feel free to correct inaccuracies, but there's no reason to consider my point any type of attack, as obviously my stance is that a win is simply a win.

The point is, was, and will always be, you had to crap on the thread in the first place; then you finally retracted your statement.

*Edit*

Retracted isn't the right word to use. You didn't take it back, you just tried to cover your ass and make yourself look better by saying "good job" after you had already crapped on the thread.

lol... don't say "Good job" it might look pessimistic.

As for nitpicking... I simply posted a thread that already existed about a team-up on another server. I really don't care, and if you notice my first reply and my first word was "congratulations"... man why are people acting like such hard done by's, looking for a reason to start a flamewar wherever possible and defending themselves for no reason.

And in case you didn't notice I'm also the leader of a LS and the situation interested me, which is why I looked into it in the first place...

I wouldn't count that as posting in an already existing thread, but w/e :P

The thread was locked, and the first few pages like I posted were not conclusive... did you see me bring up any specific examples as to point anyone out like others have? No I didn't... because that's not what I was interested in... I was interested in getting an answer.

I have been involved in dual killing of several NM's on the BigKill list with QuestFantasy and wanted a conclusive answer whether those kills could count... I posted it here because I thought it would be helpful... yet the Vultures have come out anyways.

Do I really need to be this specific with my motives for everything I do without getting jumped on.

Well Deci, sorry to say, but you've brought a lot of the "vultures" goin' after you on yourself.

If you truly didn't mean to be crapping on the thread, then I apologize for goin' after you. BUT, your past history has always been to go after OH since you've left the shell. You cannot blame people for thinking the worst of you in this instance also^^.

I apologized to OH once already for the animosity I may have created in the past, even though my apology was ignored... it didn't mean I took it back.
