Its really funny that you mentioned lvl 52 Ninjas at the nest doing beetles....

I had a similar...very interesting experience there.

I made a nice party and I thought everything was going to rock. I cant really remember the setup I had it was quite a while ago,but there was a NIN and a RNG there...thats all I can recall lol. Anyways...the NINs gear was sub-par but hey..it happens ya know, not everyone is gonna have pimp gear, so I let it slide.

However...

As is my habit, I always pay attention to how others are doing in my pt, so I start watching the NIN. "This dude is not using Utsusemi ni..." I think to myself. So I start to /tell the RNG and other ppl in the pt asking if they saw him use Ni at all yet, because he had been taking a lot of dmg and it was strange. Most of the pt hadnt been paying attention so I told them to watch. Just as I had thought, NOPE he wasnt using Ni!!!!

So I tell the RNG to stop pulling for a minute and have a pt pow-wow. I ask the NIN, "Whats the matter? Why are you not using Ni?" And how do you think he replied?

<NIN> OK (uses warp scroll)

A lvl 50ish nin that doesnt have Utsu:ni ???
I think the level of peoples play recently in this game is slowly declining. Laziness to farm to get good gear and spells, laziness to keep sub jobs lvled, etc. Its a shame.
