Worst possible job combos

Drk/Smn
War/Whm(in a party)
Whm/War(any mage/war really)

CRAP, I fixed the spelling error, but I got rid of chpals post, whoops!

Anyway, chpal posted...

I was wondering what you guys thoguht was, in your opnion, the single worst job combo. For me it would have to be whm/drg. >< DRG sub would help no stats at all and whm wouldnt be as powerful ithout his blm sub magic. Thats my worst job combo. Whats your?

Also bad:
bard/drk
ranger/pal
thief/drg

My friend partied with a DRK/RNG, he hated it. I partied with a NIN/RDM, and I hated it. Those are from experience though, there probably are worse.

Worst job combo ever: Blm/pld. I partied with one for about 5 minutes when leveling my thf in valkurm. Told the leader to either kick him and get a whm, or i was gone. The idiot expected the blm/pld (who was "a really good friend of his"), to be main healer. ><

I left the party 30 seconds later.

 OMG

When i asked the leader "What the hell he was doing inviting a blm/pld? We need a healer, not some moron that was stupid enough to sub pld ><", he responded saying "Well, pld can heal, and he's a mage already so it should work".

Disbanded and black listed them both.

Out of curiousity what level were you?

And on the DRK/SMN thing, while it does kill a heck of a lot of potential that DRK has, I see logic in it. You see, DRK is a job that is fun for many because you get to see both sides of the game, mage and melee. The person who would choose DRK/SMN is the person who is leaning towards mage more(get a ton more MP and all that jazz), just as the person who would choose DRK/WAR is leaning towards the melee side. Most of us are in general consencise that DRK/THF is the "best" for capitolizing on the DRK's potential(I agree with this), but seeing as how this is still just a game, everybody has the choice to play as they want. Have you pted with a guy with this combo before?

35/17 Monk/Thief. I was leveling thief in valkurm at the time.

There's a running joke in my linkshell that one night my static's going to have "Idiotic subjob night". I still have to unlock SAM to sub onto my BRD, heh. But my husband always takes the cake with his PLD/BLM combo, lol.

My vote goes for SMN/WAR....

Because everyone knows how well a SMN takes a hit...and only one hit because after that you're dead!

You can blame me for that, I apologize....

thf/drg doesnt sound all THAT bad. I mean, u can SATA without a person to stand behind because u can jump off aggro and still connect for massive SC dmg. It doesnt seem like all that horrible of a combo. Granted, the play style will obviously be a lot different than what were used to, but if ur in a pt full of retards that dont help the thf any (admit it!! thats 75% of the time), he's self-sufficient in the PT to play without fear of being aggroed too much. And he can still play aggro controller when the PT IS functioning as it should.

Step away from the norm, ppl, and give some of these job combos some credit. Yea, they might not be the greatest combo for how u believe a thf should be played, but give it a chance. Dont make uniformity a requirement for respecting and/or grouping with them. Diversity is good, diversity is fun, embrace, dont fear it!!! :?

Ok, here's a question. How about War/Drk. I recently have been leveling War to use as a sub for other jobs. I do have a thief at 15, but I noticed the attack bonuses are nice with a Drk sub. Please bear in mind too that I only plan on taking War to 18 (if I go higher, I would switch to nin sub at 22). Anyway, what are the opinions here? Am I a moron for thinking about doing it and immediately switch to Thf, or might it work out ok?

Super Jump- level 50 dragoon ability

WHM/WAR...

I had a BLM/RDM friend who insisted we played without relying on other people than each other. Heck...

WHM/MNK

That was to catch up by soloing when my friend left me to die as he warped out of the fights. It did surprisingly well against 36xp Goblins in Buburimu for levels 21-23 (thank the Sybil for Regen!) I was able to take two of them in a row, with proper recasts between fights and using Mithkabobs and a big stick to slap the mobs silly.

But trust me, it sucked nonetheless. :P

worst.. ever... /think

NIN/DRG

although this makes me desparate to take drg to 10 so i can see my ninja jump...

/snicker
/giggle
