Hey everyone. Enjoying the new expansion? I sure have. Now this expanision has been out for a couple of days now and ive done alot of exploring in the new areas and done missions, and im sure im not the only one who has also. but am i the only one that has noticed the real lack of content in this release? Right now im on mission 3 and ive heard that thats the last mission you can do.

And if youve explored all those areas you will also notice that theres plenty of areas that are probably gonna be added because you can see the gates leading to them but cant enter. No NM except the campaign ones and the sandworm thats rumored to me roaming the 3 areas around jeuno. I mean theres ppl who had to wait a couple of days to get there expansion, who were very anxious for the new content. Then they finally got theirs and they are jipped out of content.

Anyways im not saying im ungratefull for the new expansion at all. Its a great release. Most ppl are enjoying the new jobs right atm which is cool. Dnc looks fun. But i feel they could have released a little more than whats available right now. I know that it cant be expected to have everything planned on it at once but they could have at least had more missions and a few more areas to explore. Ive really only seen one good meriting spot in the past and thats in Grauberg where all those wyverns are. They con VT to me at 75.

Well the main reason i created this thread is so everyone can voice their opinion about it
and if anyone knows or has heard when SE will be Adding more stuff which i hope is soon.
Im actually supprised no one has created a thread on this yet but some have just gotten theirs just yesterday.

its always been like this, they will add more, in due time like always

That sounds disappointing atm yes, but look at how long CoP was out before you could even pass the promys. I personally am going to wait for a while to pick up the expansion until I see what it will offer and if my friends enjoy it. So far it seems ToA is the best expanasion imo. With so many amazing items and even assault access right from the get go, it made exploring very fun, and not to mention that conquest is still pretty dead when it comes to merit pts, so I'll hope to see something exciting within the coming weeks.

no wai, RoZ/Cop was the best expansions, and everyone takes RoZ for granted because no1 actually remembers it being like every other xpac (as it came with the game for the NA)

i talked to a freind in LS about it. and he said they have loads more ready its just they are waiting for more ppl to get and register the expansion b4 they release it. and i understand that.
but they could have gave us just a little bit more for its release.

Yup, TOAU was baaaaaaaaaaad, :) though the ending storyline was good ;)

ToAU isn't even finished yet. They still have to add the collesium >>.
As for WotG, it has the potential to have an epic storyline similar to CoP. It's set in the Great War, and there's bound to be a lot secrets and plot twists (I'm on the Windy story, and that taru with a wrapped face seems pretty suspicious, even if he's a War Warlock).
Also, I think we might have a better time finishing mission 3 right now. It's been JP midnight, maybe there's something new.
WotG isn't disappointing to me though. The campaign battles, if done with other people, are loads of fun.

I havent been dissapointed at all. I think teh campaigns are fun as hell, I am seriously addicted to them lol. easy exp + no more LFG I think its great. I got a merit without partying or soloing those damn imps np. If more people participated we could began to take out the beastmen controlled area but we need a lot of people. who know what the prize may be ^^

Anyone who thinks ToAU is the best expansion is an idiot.

I'm sorry, but I like Salvage and Assaults a hell of a lot more fun than Dynamis and cop dynamis.

Speaking in terms of the big events.

Er, you could get to like chapter 4 or 5 of CoP from the get-go (9/04), and a month later (10/04) you could get to mission 7-3. Two months later (12/04) didn't add anything at all, then another two months (2/05) got to 8-1. 4/05 saw up through 8-3 not counting the BC, 5/05 saw the 8-3 BC, 7/05 finally finished the plot. (Not counting various later CoP stuff like Limbus, Bahamut, AN, all of which came later yet.)

So uh... CoP's not a very valid comparison. A good half the missions were available from the outset, and half the rest were added a month later, and then the rest drizzled out painstakingly slowly. (Now, getting groups together to be able to *do* these missions, is another matter entirely, particularly seeing as the mission difficulty was pre-nerfs, but the fact remains that they were available.)

ToAU, for all its faults in regards to lack of difficulty, spread out the plot of the missions a lot more evenly, and I hope WotG will do the same. Anyway, while there's not much by way of plot missions, the various country-specific quests strike me as being very much like unofficial missions. (Seeing as, for one thing, you have to make progress in them in order to proceed with the "missions". :P)

And while there's only 3 WotG missions in the dats, there's a *ton* of Campaign missions in the dats. Literally dozens. Plus the new zones (even though there are still unavailable new zones: beastmen strongholds, mini beastmen strongholds, beau, xarc, zvahl x3, and "Walk of Echoes"), two new jobs to play with all the old content with, and the whole campaign system in general.

I'd say, all things considered, it's fairly par for the course for a just-released SE expansion. For all the rose-colored goggles about how wonderful ToAU and CoP were when they first came out, honestly people were complaining about how little there was *then*, too. :P

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't think it's perfect. They flubbed up PC version boxes and delayed shipping. They flubbed up registering yourself to have WotG. They flubbed up people's attempts to get stuff done while campaign was going on (protip: just leave *all* the NPCs spawned during campaign battle, it's not like it makes a difference), although they did fix that somewhat by letting *some* useful NPCs (such as for job quests) remain spawned.

I'd actually say that the missions are more like CoP chapters, and the quests are the in-betweens for each chapter. THat's just me though.

Nah, not quite.

For one its not listed in the missions.

For second, you don't have to do all of them. I'd say WoTG has its own structure which is in some ways similar to cop, in some, not so much.

You don't have to do all of them but you do have to do *a* set of them. It's kinda like the CoP forks except you'd only have to do one fork if you wanted.

Yeah.

I'm thinking (hoping) you have to do all of them to get mission 3 done when it gets added xD

I'd be all set lol

i'll get back to you on the content thing. i still cant fucking register! >.<

Hey, I actually liked ToAU. The new areas, jobs added, and new xp zones where a big plus imo.

Most of the Cop areas are empty and were empty even before ToAU, and it didn't add any classes. The storyline I hear is a lot better, but content wise I think ToAU wins easily in everything but storyline.

Speaking of empty, outside of the three new zones and jugner , anyone else feel like there's a severe lack of monsters roaming around?

Right? I was just thinking the same thing... and speaking of monsters, anyone else think batallia downs (s) is stupid? All the mobs are really low except for gnoles, gobs, orcs, and the few bombs.

I was teething when I found out gnoles where uncharmable and nothing else was even remotely high level enough to use against them... getting gnoles to drop gnole claw easily is impossible. Why SE!

its not that mission 3 is the last mission atm, its that no one knows what to do next, YET.
