Wow...good times for me...not everyone else!

Haha, so this was an interesting event. I get a tell from an old LS mate/friend Celvantes asking me if I wanted to come help out with the Retribution WS fight in Ifrit's Cauldron. I say sure and head out there without too much trouble. I get in the party and see it's pretty much all of my old LS mates from Royal Knights, and my RL best friend Velio. So I'm thinking, "This is gonna be a cake walk." I was lv 66 and they were all lv 72+ I believe.

So we invis up and start going, but somewhere along the way, we get seperated and Velio ends up taking aggro from 2 DC bats (He was 74 too) and kills one but dies on the 2nd. You can see this here:

So they were gonna go Raise him, but the blm didn't know the way, so the sam was going to lead...but then we somehow ended up fighting a Bomb....and the blms's were apparently in the middle of casting magic when it decided to Self-Destruct. Both Celvantes and I Shield Bashed it...but to no avail. Here is the end result:

How I lived when everyone else took dirt naps...I'm not sure. I took less dmg than Celvantes did...and he's alot higher lv Pld than I am. Well, either way, I thought it was amusing how the lowest lv pt member survived all that when everyone else wiped, lol. Raise 4tw!!! XD
 
Good thing that bomb killed himself or I'd be stalking him in his sleep. :x

Good news is the NM was a push-over.

Yeah there's a small chance you can resist some of a bomb's self-destruct. Back when I was doing ZM5 with a whole bunch of people we wound up aggroing those 2 bombs in the DoR, and 1 blew up killing 3-4 people and leaving me with about 100 HP, when I should've eaten it too. XD It's all a matter of luck.

Might sound silly but was Celvantes wearing a bomb ring? I think that -75 fire resistance could hurt when things decided to explode...

Grats ^.^ your attack down from first pic had gone from second pic :P
 
Maybe you had more Fire Resistance than the 72 Pld from your armor. Some Plds forget they have a Bomb Queen ring with -75 fire resistance lol. Idk but its just I bring fire resistance gear to Ifrits Cauldron. :o You never know what can happen there no matter what level you are lol.
