I do fail at seeing the special nature promised by this ls...

I think they promised to treat their members nice and stuff.

Ok I’m going to help you guys out. Everyone has been bashing on this new LS and I thought about it and wondered why people would do this. I mean read the rule at the site they don’t offend anyone, the post I made did not have anything in it that should offend anyone. But then I realized that this is why I'm making this shell because Every endgame shell or person I have known to be involved in endgame simply did not care about anyone or anything but themselves even people that I was good friends with turned into some endgame monster that treated everyone like a piece of shit. Well when I say unlike any other that is what I mean we do not condone this behavior. This game was created for fun and enjoyment, and should be played accordingly. All I ask is please take the post seriously if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all, just show some respect. Thank you Sandria for pointing this out ^^ .

So how exactly are you planning to get around the greed, drama, etc associated with end game?

Under your system, you are bound to have people that have nothing after a couple months, and feel they have put in more work than someone that has a 10M+ item.

You're also bound to have people that show up and put in the hard work, get their item, then are suddenly busy 90% of the time.

Not knocking anything, but the way your rules read it sounds like it could easily become a popularity contest. The leaders will decide who gets items based on how much they participate. Even if the leaders are super honest and non-biased - They're are bound to be members of the shell that won't see it that way. Strict point systems work. No one can contest x player has x points because he attended x hours.

I definately agree to that. The more transparant the system for everyone to see, the less problems and the less complaints people will have. Its alot of work, but all of the successful shells need to have some sort of administration element to them which demonstrates the fairness and unbiasness of LS leadership.

I understand where you all are coming from and yes I agree. Of course your gonna have those selecet indviduals that get in get what they want and get out. BUT those indivduals will be kicked imediatly Those who work hard shall be rewarded. I guess the only way I can prove that what I am doing will work is to actually do it. so that is what I am going to do.

Well, you conveniently ignored and deleted the post I made on your forum, but I noticed this -

Many ask how will we decided dedication: well we will not be like most shells where 1hr = 1point we will simply know if you help out a lot by seeing you at events, HNM camping and sky/sea.

absolutely, 100% of the time, DOES NOT WORK in any kind of real setting. If you do not track attendance somehow, you will end up screwing people over... far more often than you think you will.

Please note that this is not a bash. I merely want to bring this to the attention of the Medicineman and would like to see some discussion about it. No flaming is necessary here.

The whole keeping track of who's there "helping out" and taking notice only means that someone hasta show up, go afk a bit, put someone on follow, and warp out a little early without being noticed and they get just as much stuff as Captain Endgame and his All Star team of campers.

Honestly, if you want your shell to work, point systems are the best way to go. Also, this idea to cross over into HNMs from SKY/SEA is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard from any shell, not just yours. Every shell and their brother attempt to do this. "ZOMG let's get finished with sky soon so we can do HNM" never works because you get 2/3 of your shell burned out in sky from the grinding out gods, and the other third bails after their done with their sky gear to join an established HNM shell that actually knows what they're doing in land HNMs.

Good luck with your shell, and I hope you succeed at breaking this trend. I'm just pessimistic about it. I've seen soo many shells like yours break in the first few months because you simply cannot get enough people.

Advice: Stop making new shells and join ones that are successful already. Reasoning: Established shells have experienced players, working strategies, most people have a half or more of the stuff they need, and lastly when you join an established shell it gets bigger and thus moving it toward the roster needed to take down HNM.

/endrant.

Medi: Don't take what the galka and some of these others are saying to heart, but he does have many valid points as do some of the others.

Even in the most enjoyable atmosphere.. it only takes a person to feel "shafted" to spoil it for that person. Not having a transparent system that is fair for everyone involved causes that negative enviroment. You might become the most honorable leader this server has ever had-- but the fact is you are just another dude on the internet that noone really can say how biased you are or "may become" when sittuations arise.

Most leaders don't honestly want the responcibilty of saying "Tom is going to receive today's speedbelt." Because Timmy over there could just as easily feel as though he put forth more work than Tom. 8 times out of 10 Timmy really did, but the fact that Tom was the leader's best friend seemed to put him right over the curve. Not saying that you would do that.

Now aside from the non-transparent system-- rules of all items belonging to the LS usually result into a mass drama fest.

I applaud you for wanting to add in a positive end-game enviroment. I do honestly believe that it can be done if the majority all have the same ideals. The problem is the route you have picked to develop such an enviroment is most likely going to look better on paper than in action.

Will I bash you for it? Nope.

Is that new for BoL then cuz I recall being told I would have to buy a speed belt if it ever dropped from our camps a few months ago.

says the person who recived more handouts than any other member.

Sandria again I applaud you for being the only one to give me props but then again you did make valid points. You’re right on most of it because it will never work unless us as leaders and the members make it work. You see the reason that most endgame shell have turned to greed, arguments, and what not is because it started at the leadership and has been spread throughout the shell slowly turning everyone against itself. The only way for this to truly work is for it to be done, and it will. And another thing I have noticed is that everyone has done nothing but pointed out the negatives of it. If you stop looking at the negatives and look at the positives you will see what this could accomplish for the production of a LS. The biggest thing is RESPECT...
