I just played Shadow of the Colossus (I borrowed it). Holy shit! This game rocks! Damn, there has got to be more boss battles like this in a game. I'm speechless. Wow...:shok:

everything about that game is beautiful, i actually ran thru it in about 11 hrs or so, lookin forward to goin thru again on hard...if i could ever stop playin FF that is. The graphics are purty, music is orchestrated wonderfully, and the game is just generally <sweets> Controls can be a bit touchy at times and the camera can trap ya, but easily overlooked flaws. I fought one boss for 45 minutes...good times, good times.

Best game of last year IMO.

True dat, I'd either give Game of the Year to this or Resident Evil 4. :p

It's good to hear someone else has discovered its splendor. That game is one of the best I've played in ages.

RE4 is pretty awsome, along with silent hill!

RE4 was great too. Now i'm confused :( They tie for me!

I swear those regenerator monsters freaked the living crap out of me. The noise they made was so... *shudders*

I have great things to say about the game too.

Also the ending was very good I felt. It was lift to the interuptation of the viewer.

I bought this game last weekend and I have to agree^^. This game is a work of art. Have you guys/gals played ICO? ICO was created by the same developer of SotC and some say is the predecessor to SotC. I'm happy to have both in my PS2 Library.

Yeah the ending for this game leads right into ICO =D

Really? Hmm, makes me glad I haven't played Ico yet.

.......Yes, I said that. Feel free to stone me.

I think SoC is game of the year for me. It's closed by RE4, but in all honesty, I wanted something I've never seen before. I want new, and innovation. RE4 was new, and innovative, but SoC just blew me out of the water. The last boss fight? Epic.

Epic and daunting. I cant even begin to tell you how many times I had to climb back up that son of a bitch, only to be thrown off of a shoulder or miss a jump from a hand, or simply run out of grip and slip off.

God I loved that game.

Hardest part? Getting all the extra items. But utterly worth it. Nothing beats felling a Colossus in two stabs.

hardest one for me was the Guardian Minotaur (second last) The one with the vital ponts on his head, and on the palm of his knife hand? Couldnt get him to keep his hand still long enough to stab him.
Regardless, beutifull game, expected nothing less from the creators of ICO. Loved ICO, but dragging that girl everywhere got REALLY annoying. That and i got stuck like every secone puzzle.

Also, the fight with the Boar and the Lion? WHOAMG fast colossi! that and the Trick to beating the Lion was AWSOME, all those pillars and such.

That Guardian Minotaur one bugged the hell outta me -_-.

The voice was like "You need to get higher!", and when I figured out he makes the stones fall, I was totally on the wrong side for like...20 minutes.

I finally noticed that on the other side, the ceiling was exactly the same, I thought it was just like...a wall.

I finally got up to the bridge -_-.

He was a fiesty one.

I just beat the game on hard and it wasn't really that much harder. As for the RE4 post I'd have to it that win to the GCN version. I have played and beat BOTH versions. The added content of PS2 was nice, but personally GCN has a better presentation of the game overall. I actually like it more on the GCN. Not to say that the PS2 version sucked or anything I think it was a very good port. It's a definite MUST BUY for fans of survival horror and for PS2 owners who do not have a GCN in their library. Although if you do not have the game on either system and are willing to rent/borrow/try it out (on either or just one system) I definitely recommend it.
