We finally get snow in Winnipeg, the city famous for being the coldest city over 500,000 people, and its still warm enough to turn the side roads into a skating rink. Slid out doing 40k (about 25mph) and hit the oncomming guy head on. I've been driving in this weather for as long as I've had a licence (6 years) and I have never seen that road so slippery. I had no brakes or steering period when I slid around the bend.

I'm ok though, and have even more appreciation for the Canadian health care system.

Car's a write off though. Front end smashed in, and its a 90 honda so they're not gonna bother fixing it.

lol, i h8 driven n da sno, i git sydwayz at da sydsho, but sno iz no cntrol

damn, I'm sorry to hear that, glad your ok tho.

Snow is a BITCH, i live in North Carolina, where it snows once every 2 years and when it does, every driver losses their freakin mind.

about wrecked my car last winter, not fun doing 360's in the snow, headed toward the opposite lane. luckily there was noone else on the road comin the other way, and i stopped it after 1 360. but still, i shit a brick. i can imagine how you feel ; ;

The hell did you just say?

Yeah Mara, it got pretty bad last night. When I was driving home from grocery shopping I hit a massive skid on a street near my place. Shit was dangerous.

Just be glad you're okay and that guy isn't dead or something.

My condolences on the destruction of your automobile. :O

But yeah, be glad nobody was seriously injured.

Friend of mine recently got into a car accident, with some 3 payments left on his car. Which is subsequently totaled. So now he has to get a new (er) car with whatever money that the insurance company will pay out to him (not much), with the extra added insult that since he's working as a delivery driver at the moment (hurray for recessions) they now refuse to insure him.

It was bad here the other day in Calgary too. Just at the right temperature that it was just a skating rink in most places.

Shitloads of car accidents, you're one among many. Hope your next car treats ya better. :D

It wasn't so much the snow, but that it was JUST warm enough to be falling and melting on the ground, but then cold enough to freeze again on the road making it icy.

Didn't help I was on my way to house-sit for a month, thus had my computer and PS3 in the back seat. Cracked the monitor case but otherwise everything was undamaged.

The important thing is that you're okay and that you got rid of your 90's honda.

At least you can drive, Toronto has been on strike for months now and I still can't get my license.

Are all 9 of this guy's posts complete jibberish? Please tell me that this is someone's sockpuppet and some kind of joke.
