Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

So I dled wrestlemania and watching the main matches and what not. I really like the Taker and batista fight. Its all a powerhouse battle, which is what I like best :D

Out of all the matches I enjoyed the opener, The money in the bank match the most. Still nothing can really touch the hour long Undertaker entrance, it's just too cool. ^^

Yea I agree u knew more or less that Undertaker was going to win (cause his streak will go on forever or until he calls it quits) and yea i was hopping that HBK would win cause i'm sick and tired of seeing Cena w/ the title. I'm glad that SAY IT LOUD SAY IT PROUD MR. KENNEDY won the MITB match hopefully he will pull an Edge and fight Cena after he gets his ass kicked at a PPV and win the title. Also u knew Austin was going to give someone a stunner in that match i mean if Austin didn't give someone a stunner what kind of wrestlemaian would it be lol but Trump sold it really bad i heard.

lol yeah he did. Looked more like Trump just fell down. Vince didn't sell much better either. He's sold it better in his past stuns. But yeah it was a given that Austin was going to stun multiple people. He got everyone but Lashley.

Also A friend of a co-worker of mine kept predicting that kennedy was going to cash in on the Undertaker after he won the title and end up ending Takers streak that way. That way Taker could get a loss yet prove he can still be "undefeated" at wresltemania. Taker did when his "main" match plus he wouldn't be 100% going into the bank match so it would be an unfair loss. But a loss is a loss since it would count as being an official match. Course if he cashed in and Taker won, he'd have 2 wins in one year :) and he'd be 16-0. That would be sweet and would make up for him missing wrestlemania X. Obvisily it didn't happen but I thought that he made an interesting prediction. I don't want to see Taker's streak end though. Taker is making history never done before and would be a shame to see 15 years worth of wins get crapped on after one simple loss. I'm all for keeping his streak.

Yeah but he's good enough and popular enough to earn that script. Not anybody can just go out their with a "script" and pull it off like Taker does. There is some skill involved whether its mic work or ring work.. Yeah they go by a set script but wrestlers have their own freedoms too and they can add their own spin to things. Wrestling isn't as fake as everyone thinks it is.

yes please, I don't feel like debating it myself. I have opinions about it, being a long term fan and all. I'd just rather just talk about it rather than defending it, though I have a feeling this thread is about to die out soon.

Eh, I can go on for hours about wrestling. ;p In fact...the new backlash poster has edge on it so I'm wondering if he's gonna go after the title! o.o/

I love his entrances, gives me a chance to smoke, go to the bathroom, and have some sex and still be back in time for the match! :p

Quite possibly the best freedom is when Michaels hammed it up by overselling(understatement) to make Hogan look like a fool.

Thats hilarious. Never did get a chance to see that match. Michaels has a habbit of overselling every now and then (the famous flipping on the turnbuckle corner he does every match in his old school days) but that was a little ridicolus. Wonder if he did that out of frustration. I remember him being upset about having to "job" to Hogan. Could've been a mocking thing he was doing. Either way thats still funny.

I've always hated that match! Loved the Benny Hill music on the link thou. Shawn Michaels is the kind of man that shows what he is feeling at every point in his career. He didn't want to wrestle Hogan at that time for sure and Hulk is "that kind of wrestler" (Warrior, DDP, Stone Cold, Goldberg...) that don't want to lose a match, yes not even one. Vince booked the match and that was the result. lol

Loved the vid, but isn't Yakety Sax by Boots Randolph? Thats what i always thought it was.

Interesting find, thanks for that!

Oh nice. Interesting find there. Some of those I've heard of before but theres quite a bit that I haven't.

wrestleview.com is another good site with a lot of backstage information. Contains to both WWE and TNA. Also there is a site called voiceofwrestling.com. Has interviews and such on mondays. The best part is they have a forums set up with thousands of matches and a lot promos that people uploaded in the media section. Wresltingradionetwork.com has a lot of radio style shows that go on too for those that are into that sort of thing.
