Khali tapped...what a lame ending...

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

One of the most surprising names released, given the amount of television time devoted to her, was Ariel, real name Shelly Martinez. The release appears to be related to a backstage incident involving Martinez and Batista at last Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Baltimore, Maryland.

The two of them got into an argument in front of a number of talents while watching the taping on a monitor backstage. Whatever the argument was about hasn't come out yet, but the feeling among those spoken to was that Martinez was defending herself against Batista. Seeing how she was on the wrong side of things politically, she ended up in the crosshairs of the company. When push came to shove, she became an enemy of Batista, who happens to be a friend of Triple H, husband of the woman who can now fire you.

Stephanie McMahon, who is now in charge of who gets fired and who gets hired, was never a fan of her. She also felt as though that she didn't have the "WWE Diva look." It also didn't help matters that she was a talent hand-picked by Paul Heyman for ECW when it was originally launched, and as we all know, Stephanie absolutely loathes Heyman. All those factors worked against her and she was shown the door.

With the departure of Ariel, Kevin Thorn has been told that he may be receiving a makeover/new look, which leads some to believe that the darker/vampire elements of his character will go away. There were a few people who felt that since ECW writer Dave Lagana isn't one to rock the boat, he's going to go with whatever WWE management wants, instead of trying to fight for the characters and making it work.

That sucks for the reason why she was fired thats just BS more reason why to hate WWE and there reason for firing ppl

Khali tapping to the STFU pretty much killed his entire character and gimmick. The optimist in me hopes this means that Khali gets regulated to Heat or something so I don't have to see him anymore. Now if we can just get the McMahon/Umaga vs Lashley crap off my tv then things will be good. Well, after Cena loses his belt. Wonder if they are waiting for Tripps to come back and have him decimate Cena or something.

That dissappoints me greatly. They have stinkin Taker and Kane job to him even as far as Khali winning simply by putting his foot on their chest for a three count. Completly destroyed two great legends then turn around and just simply "tap out". They hype him up like he's some unstoppable force and thats all it takes? To me that makes wrestling very unrealistic. I know its not real in the first place but at least make it somewhat realistic or more believable. This makes Cena look way too overpowered for an average looking wrestler, plus destroyes Khalis gimmick as mentioned earlier. Same way with Umage's gimmick which was ruined when they were pushing him for that undefeated streak. Funny how he was undefeated, yet when somae joe lost to angle, umage looses to Cena not long after. If Cena made Khali tap out, in realistic terms he could just destroy Taker or Kane in a matter of minutes and I know the fans wouldn't buy that.

My how I miss the old school days of wrestling, including the attitude era.

Seriously, down with Cena. He is now the 6th in the list of longest WWE title holders. Hopefully HHH will be back soon to finish him off.

Yea with all the injuries and all I just want HHH back and beat the shit out of Cena and take the title. I almost think they won't take the belt off of Cena cause he is like the high paid person in sells as in like t-shirts, belts, and ect... stuff like that i guess they think it would hurt his sells if he isn't the champ. It kind of one of those u love to hate them type of deals but also whats going on w/ the Hardys and Cade and Murdoch this crap w/ them shaking hands are they trying to make Cade and Murdoch good guys idk but yea thats my rant.

John Cena may have made The Great Khali tap out at Judgment Day, but less than 24 hours later, controversy is swirling around last night’s WWE Championship Match.

Apparently the RAW storyline angle is that Khali’s boot was under the bottom rope as he tapped out for the first time ever. Khali and his translator will be at Raw tonight and Khali will present his case to the public.

I just read this on wrestlezone.com hmm... let try not to make him look to super human i guess who knows watch they will wrestle once again at the next PPV in 2 weeks lol

Sweets, another Saturday Night's Main Event coming June 2nd, it's been ages since the last one.

I was at a dance till now...so I just read the live updates. All this stuff about beating Cena anywhere, is there gonna be a street fight between the 2 or something?

Yeah, at the ECW PPV One Night Stand, which is in less than 2 weeks ><
All matches will be extreme rules, and the Cena/Khali is falls count anywhere.
The Lashley/McMahon match will be a Street Fight.
So far only those 2 matches announced.

whats the difference between a falls count anywhere and a street fight match?

Idk lol, really no differences with all matches being extreme rules, but maybe Street Fight need to be pinned in ring, and Falls Count Anywhere can pin opponent anywhere. But judging from previous Street Fight matches they are also falls count anywhere, so meh

Thats what I thought. Guess they are just giving them fancy names to make them different.

whats the difference between a falls count anywhere and a street fight match?

Falls count anywhere means you can't get counted out, but I think you can still get disqualified.

A street fight match you can fight anywhere, and do whatever the hell you want.

I think.
