Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

Haha its possible. I was gonna watch smackdown more when Taker became champ but I found myself missing a week or two still.

I just leave smackdown running on my tv while I do stuff. Every now and then theres something worth watching xD

But guys! Vickie Guerro is the GM! like omg isn't she AWESOME!?

/sarcasm

I usually have it on just because friday television in general sucks ass, but I don't really "watch" it except for a few rare decent matches.

USA Network has talked of wanting Raw to increase to three hours in the fall. The belief is that is guarantees the network one extra hour of very high ratings every week, thus enabling them to maintain their status of being the most watched network on cable television. The thought process being the move is that if Raw starts at 8 p.m. more often, people will get used to tuning into Raw at that time, and it will lead to higher ratings in the second hour in particular.

They also made the suggestion of Steve Austin and Undertaker being regulars on the show, even if they can't wrestle. On the WWE front, they aren't too keen on making Raw a three hour show, every single week. They think this is the last thing they need. Although, if they go through with the move, they'll likely get a rate increase from USA.

I dunno if that'll happen...WWE people seem tired enough as it is...

And for anyone who was a Big Show fan...

The Big Show (Paul Wight) recently purchased a $3.37 million home in the Coral Gables, Florida area. He is currently training in hopes of becoming a professional boxer and is down to 449 lbs.

lol

Honestly I don't think Big Show will last much longer. His body has to be going out from how big he is. I honestly like Big Show as a wrestler, but we all are familiar with what happened to Andre. He may make it as a boxer as he's a naturally big guy, but he will have to really aim down his punches because most of his opponents wont be anywhere near his head. Then there is the fact if he goes up against someone that is faster than he is Show will surely lose.

For all those wondering how Vince would have made a TV comeback after this death

The conclusion of the McMahon death angle would have saw Vince McMahon returning to television to reveal that he faked his death. Believe it or not, last week’s Raw would have featured a false arrest of Linda McMahon.

and for WWE title news

The Triple H vs. Randy Orton match originally planned for SummerSlam is now in jeopardy. According to one backstage source both Triple H and Vince McMahon agree it is not the right thing to do at this time.

Triple H is pushing for Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship from John Cena. Internally the thought is that Cena doesn’t need the belt to get over because he gets resentment boos for being a champion. The feeling is more money will be made in Cena chasing Orton for the title in comparison to where he beats him all the time while he holds the title.

Look for the Triple H vs. Randy Orton match to happen at either Survivor Series or WrestleMania.

Plz plz plz let this happen!

Yes plz let this happend i'm sick of Cena w/ the title but the thing about Raw going to 3 hours could be a good thing and could be a bad thing. Think of it like this Nitro was a 3 hour show but useless the 1st hour sucked depends on what matches they had.

They just need to put all the brands together and make it one but still let smackdown, raw, and ecw have there titles and just let ppl be on whatever show they want to be on. I mean i liked the idea when they did the draft but when they split i though it would be a bad idea idk i still like it just wish some of the ppl u see on Smackdown was on Raw but who knows.

Yeah I never liked the split from the start. There is so much more room for good rivaleries/storylines when you have everyone on one show. Then they can add tag team belts for the ecw brand since there will be a more people avalible to have a tag team division.

I'll admit, they did a good job evolving it compared to how it was when it very first started. I liked the idea of giving each brand their own belt rather than the champ being the only one allowed on both shows with one belt. Seemed weird fueding with someone, one show at a time even though the champ was on both shows.

Yeah i wasnt a fan of the split

btw

SPOILERS FOR SMACKDOWN

Kane vs Edge at American bash. It didnt say if it was for the title or not, but I'm assuming it will be...

I REALLY hope Kane wins, but I doubt it...They could do a whole thing where hes getting revenge for his brother >.>

Didn't they say that Edge was going to be a long term champion? If so, it's doubtful that Kane will win the belt. If anything he'll win by DQ or something. Or he'll snap and get DQed himself.

Heh so Cena vs Lashley for the title at Great American Bash..
And yay, HHH coming back soon! Fuck yes

The way they showed HHH's promo...he looked like hes coming back as heel >.>

Actually I just thought that they were advertising that H was coming back soon. Although people take things in differently.

I missed RAW last night, but I'm glad to hear it was Lashley that won last night. Anything else exciting happen?

Idk, I only caught bits and pieces, Lashley speared Cena at the end, I don't remember much else.
