Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

Randy Orton slapped Dusty Rhodes so they're gonna fight next week.

Yeah, they are pushing him so I guess this will help him. I still think they shouldve put him in for the championship match and let him win >.>

More bragging rights to his legend killer list.

Yeah, but I dunno, it seems kind of lame now.

He's going to beat up Dusty Rhodes? The man's 62 years old. Don't get me wrong, Dusty's great, but how does this make Orton look stronger? Orton can take a nap in the corner of the match, and Father Time will pin Rhodes for him.

yeah, thats a good point. Most of the legends he's beat are well past their prime and are either too old, not in shape, or both. The only way his list of legends that he "killed" would be considered an outstanding achievement is if he went back in time in the 80's, early 90's and defeated them then. Then Randy Orton would have something to boast about. Beating a bunch of old wrestlers is really nothing to brag about.

Orton is not that weak, remember some of the people Orton has won against:

HHH, HBK, Austin, Cactus Jack, Benoit, The Undertaker and more.

It's not that he's weak, it's just that having him wail on a bunch of older guys really isn't impressive.

The legend killer might actually kill a legend. That is, unless, time doesn't do it for him.

...Zing?

So edge vs kane. Edge is most likely gonna win, but it would be sweet if kane would.

And batista vs Khali. Unlike the other match, I saw this one coming. I think batista will probably win as he has had such a giant losing streak at PPVs since losing the championships, and they should be done pushing Khali now >.>

We might even see Khali jobbing before long much like kane did when he teamed with the hurricane.

And like Kane was recently with Henry and Khali >.> Glad hes getting main event push, even if he doesnt win.

- Chris Jericho mentioned in an interview with the Baltimore Sun that he will in fact return to wrestling but he didn’t mention where or when. He also goes on to mention that unlike Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, he is very happy when TNA mentions his name on broadcasts. When he does make his return, he will be working a full-time schedule and will probably take on doing some comedy.

Hopefully its WWE...and soon ;o

Benoit is on the cover of People this week...just bought my copy - haven't gotten to read through it yet, but yeah - should be interesting.

Post something about what the article when i read it. Or I'll have to go buy it now...

ps. I was watching some old matches that Benoit was in, the last ones he was with Woman at his side (last 4 Horsmen incarnation at WCW). I was looking at Woman picking a fight with Debra, then Mongo got in and Benoit got involved too to defend his gf. Man, what times... Then I thought it was imposible to stop talking/thinking about the man, because he kept appearing all over this incredible matches...

sht!

Yeah he's been in a lot of good matches. One of my favorite tag matches I saw was benoit and Jericho vs HHH and Steve Austin when Austin turned heel after Wrestlemania 17. That was the match when HHH blew out his quad the first time. That was a really good match I thought.

I haven't seen the full match, but what little bit I can remember, the match between bret hart and benoit was pretty good which was a tribute match for owen hart.

Oh yea! You reminded me how Bret oWned everyone back in his day.

Seems taker is getting ready to get out of wrestling in a few years..>.>

Mark Calaway (a/k/a Undertaker) just finished building a $2.7 million office building in Loveland, Colorado along with his business partner, Scott Everhart. The two have named the building The Calahart (Calaway & Everhart) Building, which is filled with upscale office space with a great location.

Undertaker is scheduled to return to wrestling in November, but is getting into real estate since he knows his wrestling career isn't going to last much longer. Calaway said that being a star on TV is something that will help him with his future business. He was quoted as saying, "by no means does it seal the deal, but people do want to sit down and talk with you. It helps us get to meet a lot of people and know what we're trying to get accomplished."
