Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

I would watch a 2 hour show just about Ron Simmons and his wacky adventures. Oh, and tonight was "I don't know how to talk night". Almost everyone who picked up a mic got tongue tied at least once. The wrestling had its fair share of botches too, like that pin that london (or was it kendrick?) did that was barely a 2 count, lol.

Booker was messing up lines left and right. It was almost comical.

I guess lots of people were very worried about Summerslam. Lotsa pressure you know! I think even Vince had difficulties on the mic. Rumor is btw guys, Mark Henry may be gone (thank god) soon. His contract expires in September.

Mark henry is supposed to wrestle another year before he retires. But maybe they'll rid of him after his fight with Undertaker.

And yeah, I noticed the mic mess ups yesterday. Thought it was unusual for me to pick up on many when i usually don't hear any xD

Some sports match. I forgot which one

Undertaker will be facing a slew of large opponents when he returns to the ring this fall.

He's scheduled to make his return at the Unforgiven pay-per-view. He will be facing Mark Henry. Taker will probably be the one to put Henry out of action for good in the storylines as Henry is likely finishing up with WWE when his contract expires in a few weeks.

In a return feud from about 12 years ago, Undertaker will be facing Big Daddy V. Plans have been made to build Big Daddy V up as a monster in ECW, then move him to SmackDown sometime in the fall to feud with the top babyface talents of the brand -- including Undertaker.

Taker is also scheduled to feud with The Great Khali again.

Looks like Taker will be taking care of half the giants they are pushing right now lol

Man, things don't look good for Orton winning the title atm. I say that because whenever 2 wrestlers have a feud before their PPV match whoever gets his way last looses the match in the event and Randy just oWned Cena yesterday...

That usually means Cena will win a SS. I hope it doesn't happen this way, because there have been very few exeptions. ; ;

I was thinking the same thing. When I saw Orton come out last night, I got the feeling that Cena was gonna walk way from SS a champion.

Also, ...Lamb!

They always push giants on Taker it seems for some reason. Every since his early days they've been doing that. Around 1993 They had Taker face Giant Gonzillas (the 90s version of Greah Khali) at WM9, King Kong Bundy at WM11, Mable(currently Big Daddy V) at Survivor Series of 95, Diesal(Kevin Nash) at WM12, Sycho Sid(Sid Vicious) at WM13, and Kane at WM14. He's had various fueds with Big Show and Brock Lesnar as well. Now we got Henry at WM22 and yet another feud coming up, Great Khali and yet another rumored feud, and soon again against Big Daddy V. Undertaker is WWE's anti-giant wrestler lol.

They had a Cena vs orton dark match right after Raw though. And Cena won ;x

And it might also be possible that they keep getting Cena so badly destroyed so that can be why he loses at Summerslam >.> lol

Or maybe Vince just wants us to think Cena will overcome all obstacles like before...

On a non wrestling note...

Extreme Expose might be in playboy leading up to wrestlemania 24 =P

Sources indicated that Vince McMahon was a little upset with the general reaction Snitsky got on Raw Monday. Vince thought Snitsky was more over than he was and when he announced Cena vs Snitsky he was a little taken back by the lack of reaction.

Atleast Vince is realizing that no one likes Snitsky lol

That was kind of the wrong crowd to judge reactions by. They didn't react to pretty much anything all night positively or negatively, lol.

Yes, if he wants to test popularity out of fan reaction he needs to test it at Puerto Rico, Canada and Flair's home town Charlotte, North Carolina. Among this places are the most rabid fans I've ever seen!

According to once source the Undertaker wanted to return at Sunday's SummerSlam pay-per-view, however, Vince McMahon pushed his return back until next month's Unforgiven pay-per-view. McMahon's reason was that by allowing the Undertaker to return at Summer Slam it would send out the message that superstars needed to rush back from injuries and now is not a good time to send out that message.

Guess Taker's injury wasn't as big as they originally made it seem...

Well taker has been out for a while. I'm still praying that Cena loses the title...please god, please. xD

A more logical reason to postpone his return would be to hype up the next ppv. They already have HHH (and I guess Mysterio too) to drive up buyrates of summerslam, and the fact that it's summerslam in the first place. Bringing back Taker here would be bad for business.

You are a very wise. :o That's a good reason.

Anyone else think that Undertaker will come back in yet another new persona? Sure, he wasn't buried alive this time, but they sure hyped it quite a bit. Opinions?
