Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

Well the guy HAS been in the company for what, like almost 10 years? And the only WWE title shot he received until now was that Ladder match vs. Undertaker for the Undisputed Championship (which rocked). The guy's got skills. And a lot more charisma than Matt does. I think he'd make a decent champion. He's much more entertaining than Randy Orton, at least. He's almost on par with Mick Foley as it pertains to putting his body on the line, and they gave Mick 3 championship reigns. So Jeff at LEAST deserves one.
 
Heh, no one ever mentions the Jeff vs Undertaker ladder match for the belt. That is one of my favorite Raw matches of all time.
 
I hardly remember that match for some reason. I'll have to look it up sometime and refresh my memory. Also RVD and Eddie Guerro's ladder match was good too.

SmackDown opens with two huge announcements. First Theodore Long announces that World Heavyweight Champion Edge will defend his title against Rey Mysterio at No Way Out. He then announces a SmackDown Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out for a title shot at WrestleMania XXIV. The competitors are revealed as Batista, Undertaker, MVP, Finlay, The Great Khali, and Big Daddy V.

Btw, heres why CM Punk is going downhill

-- Since losing the ECW Championship to Chavo Guerrero, then losing to Edge in the revenge match and being eliminated by Chavo in the Royal Rumble, we're told CM Punk is in the doghouse. The story is that Punk isn't listening to any of WWE's agents and their advice, plus his house show matches are considered "indy level sloppy." Punk has been botching a lot of moves as of late and agents say he comes backstage laughing about his mistakes. There also may have been some backstage politics issue arise recently about Punk hitting on the wrong person.

This Rumble was the most exciting I've seen in years. HBK and Taker really helped the event from beggining till they were taken out. Cena back? I was surprised when he came out, but that was it... He can go back now to where he came from. The reaction from the crowd when he was exchanging hits with HHH (ex. "eeeeee" to HHH, "booooo" to cena) was enough for me to go back to my cena hating days. X(

ps - i've never liked cm punk, he reminds me of billy kidman... ; ;
 
This Colin guy on ECW is kinda funn...I like ECW recently, it's not that bad.
 
Is anyone else super tired of this "Hornswaggle" thing? I wasn't too crazy about it when they started the whole "Hornswaggle is the bastard son" thing, but now its so boring.

Yes. His angle is getting old, I don't feel so sad for him when Vince scolds him anymore. For him to work in the new year they need to dress him as a McMahon and put him in charge of something. That would be funny to watch.

I'm hoping they have a Vince vs. Hornswaggle thing at Wrestlemania. To finish up the angle. That way he can go back to being Finlay's bitch.

They have a match on Raw next week, right? Do you think they will carry it to wrestlemania?

The plan is for FInlay vs Mcmahon or Finlay/Foley vs Shane and Vince for Wrestlemaina.
 
I didn't watch ECW this week but I read up on it.


I thought the idea of the Gulf of Mexico match sounded pretty cool. Anyone see it? Was it any good?

My friend at work was telling me about the Gulf of Mexico match that was on last night. Sounded pretty interesting and rather funny. I need to start picking back up on ECW.
