Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

I really really hope Santino/BP take the titles at Summerslam. That's about the only thing I can really look forward to at the ppv now. HiaC would be okay if it were Edge vs just about anyone else but for crying out loud, I'm so tired of the Undertaker. He was a total badass... 15 years ago. It's cool that he can still perform but he shouldn't be main eventing anymore. That would be like throwing Hacksaw Jim Duggan in another main event at a ppv just because of his past. He's gotta go ahead and let go so the younger stars can main event.

What legitimate contenders? The tag division has been bad for years now. The only good tag team left is DiBiase and Rhodes. Maybe they're trying to bring more heavy weights to the tag division?

DiBiase and Rhodes is who I meant as legitimate contenders. They got blown away by Batista and Cena. And no I doubt people and batista will be happy to stay with the tag division. It was a stunt for their SS match which once again makes the tag division look like crap.

And Santino and Beth might be funny, but I can't help but feel like they kinda just threw away the Katie lea and Burchill thing to give them a shot >_> They probably will win too

I didn't get to see the whole of Raw last week, my TV decided to stop working altogether about 90 mins in so i didn't see the Batista - Cena tag title match, although i did predict they'd win as soon as i saw it advertised, remind anyone of Cena - Michaels at wrestlemania a couple of years back <_<;.

But honestly i thought this was one of the worst Raw's in a while... i've got nothing against Adamle (sp) and it's obvious that his poor announcing was just a gimmick, but i did get really bored with his opening spot. The whole show seemed to be a little slow... what was with Leyla's 'look at me, i can dance like a whore' thing all about, lol.

I was expecting to see some more entertaining matches and promo's with only a couple of weeks left until summerslam, one of the bigger PPVs of the year, instead they throw out this second rate crap-tastic mash of not-so-much-wrestling.

How long until Randy Orton is back from his injury, i can't stand many more of these JBL & Great Khali 'main events'.

Really, it says something when the real main events of both smackdown and raw aren't the title matches >_> Cena/Batista + HIAC will be the biggest draws =P

They really need to put HIAC last on the card if they want people to stay until the end because people will be flooding out of the building rather than stay to watch the title matches. I don't think Batista - Cena will be that good either, the problem when they put two faces together is that niether wants to be dominated by the other so it'll end up with them slapping each other a couple of times, and then end in a real controversial way so there's no definitive 'winner'.

I'm hopeful for a HBK/Y2J match

I'd rather injure my own eyes than have to watch another hbk/y2j match. That fued was cool, for a while. It's done now, y2j needs to either continue his gimmick of "saving" wrestlers with horrible gimmicks like he did with Cade (Matt Striker would be the perfect one to do next) or at least start a new fued.

No way.

That fued needs a finale. I'm assuming HBK will come back and win unfortunately.

Oh and heres why Khali's getting a title shot...

The Great Khali continues to be plagued by chronic knee problems, and it seems that WWE is trying to get the most out of him now while he lasts. It's being reported that Khali was not diligent enough with rehab following his last knee surgery, and is most likely suffering as a result. WWE views him as a short term commodity at this point, which most likely explains his recent push and title match at Summerslam.

While it's true that Undertaker's prime has passed, his popularity has never faded all that much, even when he was heel in his Big Evil gimmick. So it's not really fair to compare him to Jim Duggan. Plus Undertaker has much more athleticism. What other 7' tall 300 pound wrestler can leap over the ropes let alone walk on them? Sure he uses the latter over and over but that takes some damn good skill. I'd like to see him go 20-0 (though it'll probably be something stupid like 19-1) at Wrestlemania before seeing him depart.

As a side note, I got to thinking the other day. Remember a few years back when Edge was cutting a promo on his Cyber Sunday match where the fans got to vote who he faced? Among the participants were Matt Hardy, Christian, JBL, and I forget who else. But he made fun of JBL for calling himself 'Mr. Smackdown', and said he might as well call himself 'Mr. Enron'. Wouldn't that mean he "married" 'Mrs. Enron'? lulz.

The problem with Khali is that I think they are using him completely wrong. The guy starred in a blockbuster COMEDY MOVIE. The fact that the WWE didn't capitalize on this at all is mind-boggling. They have enough big guys without a real gimmick, they could've really let this guy shine the way that Paul Wight always does when they allow him to be funny.

Yeah, and don't forget about that little thing he had during the McMahon money give away thing. That was hilarious

That was brilliant... i think i even posted about it a few pages back when it happened, only time he's done anything worth watching, tbh since he was first introduced i've wanted to see Khali vs Umaga, don't ask me why i just think it'd be amusing.

It's really bugging me, is the russian guy on Smackdown the same guy that had the 'I love double-double-E' build up, he looks similar but it happened a long time ago and i don't really remember <_<, if it is i prefered the old gimmick.

Ya its the same guy.

And the closest to Khali vs Umaga we've had is that Triple Threat Cena vs Umanga vs Khali. It was awfully done as you can probably guess.

Oh god from the moment Glamarella came out all the way till they were gone I literally laughed nonstop. By far the most interesting duo in the whole company right now.

So Randy Orton is re-injured. Thrown 300 feet off of his Motorcycle this is pretty fucking gay. I want Orton back so he can be the champ.

Me too ;(

Was a sad panda to hear about that earlier today. Was hoping Orton would come back and take out punk soon ;;

The mask in Kane's bag...

Spoiler:
Out of the nowhere, instead of Kane getting his own mask back, it turns into a Kane vs Mysterio feud... Wtf >.>

What in the unholy crap are they trying to pull with what was in the bag? Are we to believe Kane killed him or something? lulz, russo-swerved!

Well from the looks of it he did something to him lol. Since he was going on about how that man was scarred, damage, blah blah, beyond human recognization.
