WS Stack for Dnc?

The only time you should ever ws in party as a dnc is when you can do a full reverse flourish immediately after. It's pretty crappy when a dnc uses their tp for (usually) a sub-par ws and then the tank or some emo drk needs an immediate heal, and the dnc is sitting there with no tp.

There will be times you sit at 300 tp for a while, and you do eventually need to use it, as all hits after hitting 300 are basically wasted tp... but, you are there to heal.

Also, fyi, around the early 60's with 4 dagger merits, I was able to consistently pull off 600-800 dmg DE's with building flourish, all accuracy gear, and sushi on regular colibri (no brd), which is pretty decent considering I could immediately be almost back at 100 tp with reverse afterwards.

Edit: Sorry, I typed that on my phone and it changed some of the words while typing and I didn't notice...

Also, I have a few things to add.

First off, if you do not have any intention of taking dnc past 37, please refrain from criticizing harshly anyone who is tossing out ideas. There are still numerous things that can be tested with dnc, and it should not be discouraged. Also, it would benefit us all to just avoid un-constructive criticism. Yes, I'm referring to you Nei.

To Urat, I have to agree with K. Rarely will you want to use Evisceration outside of setting up, or finishing a darkness skill chain. Dancing edge does far more damage then evisceration does, when stacked with wild/building.

Also, here's another point. Building flourish increases ws acc, atk, and then finally crit with increasing finishing move usage. However, in order to get any decent form of dmg, evisceration needs to crit, which thusly calls for 3 finishing moves for the increased crit.

Conversly, you could use building flourish with only 2 finishing moves to get the increased ACC and ATK, but not the crit. The crit only affects WS which has a tp modifier that affects crit rate, ie evisceration. Using only 2 finishing moves will allow for faster tp recovery after the WS. Although, I am admitedly stating this from my PoV in which I rarely use wild flourish anymore, so only using 2 finishing moves is a benefit to me.

While a dnc's DoT is incredibly low, WS dmg can be marginally decent. However, in order to take advantage of that, I've determined from my own testing, which my LS can attest to as I've tested it while they're usually with me, that DNC's ability to spam those WS would be your best bet for any form of, I guess could be said, DD Dnc.

Using DE with 2 finishing moves, and not using wild flourish, allows for you to quickly use Reverse Flourish. I will also state, it IS possible for dancer to do a Self Skillchain W/O wild flourish. Repeat, dnc can do a Self Skill chain w/o wild flourish. So it is to your benefit to NOT use wild flourish.

As too doing a self sc, I have full reverse flourish merits and I was dnc/nin using behemoth knife and joyeuse. Use your finishing moves for building flourish, rebuild finishing moves to 5 while the building buff is still up. WS, reverse flourish which will put you at 75 tp, plus the return, if full, from DE which is 14 if I remember correctly, and if timed properly you'll also hit the mob during the reverse flourish, putting you back at 100% for another WS with enough time to close a SC. I do not have SS, but I do have witnesses.

Another quick bit, wild flourish, imo, is best not to be used on yourself, but for setting up SC for your party members. Blowing all your tp, probably finishing moves, and having the 30 second CD on flourish 2, makes you more or less almost useless for a good 20-30 seconds in case your party needs heals.

Edit: I forgot to add that it is possible for dnc to open and close darkness, but also for them to open Light SC if you have a sam. Wild Flourish + Shadowstich = Fragmentation + Tachi: Kasha = Light.

With tp store and haste stack, yeah it could be pretty possible =D

Also, like I said, I'd only perform a BWF under perfect circumstances, like finishing off a tough mob, I'd ever blow all my finishes and tp on a mob at 95% hp jin a exp pt, lol.

Personally I like building flourish, box step, then WS, so I get 2/3 of my finishes back, while maintaining my +100% tp.

Wild flourish with another member, I wonder if this has some interesting possibilities, like with a rng... whats the recast time on WF? Mayhaps putting a single dnc in a tp burn pt would work very well... hmmm...

Recast time on WF is 30 seconds, the same as with reverse flourish. This adds in some interesting dynamics in lower lvl xp parties, and even in some meripos.

When I was around lvl 65, I had a party that had a blm in it that I would consistently set up with a SC with the melee for an MB. This added quite a bit damage since they've buffed MBing. WF, imo, definitely has more of an advantage to be used as a support tool then for your WS, that way you can increase damage output, and stil keep your tp for healing etc.

Thansk gfor the info guys, think I got the answer I wanted, even as much as the eviscration would be stacked with gear, it still doesnt compare to a stacked DE (Still wanna try at least one transfixion on a light weak mob though :X)
