ugh ... for the love of christ...
Ok, fine i took my statements to extremes in a few posts, FS. I also grew up in a court room and understand why you go apeshit at my generalizations now but it still hardly warrants being abusive in cross examination of a post.
Valoran illustrates my point with the eloquence i could not muster at the time i thought to make it. Yes, there were some people there fighting the good fight, IMO not enough people at the beginning but w/e. Yes, things are running alot better now for people. Yes, the people involved in the situation have said mistakes were made. These are the issues i wanted to touch on, unfortunately i defeated myself by thinking that people wouldn't get pissy about the wording of a post as i conveyed a general idea and opinion.
Zomg, i echo'd the news media  i watched it, i posted what i had seen and heard. Luckily it doesn't cost me anything to print a retraction ... which i wont be doing. I'd imagine every other news outlet wont be doing it either.
btw, FS i said i had a child to feed, not a starving one. If you're going to start talking all high and mighty and getting offended about 2-3 words in a post being a generalization, please practice what you preach. I posted after that post b/c cubs finally responded, then after much poor taste and bad humor i understood what cubs not only was showing but his POV on it, he then chose a better image to convey his point and i said blatantly not only was i not offended now that i knew the whole story but i could more than understand his point.
This last leg of the post was thanks to the attack of a statement i made that could have been seen as a partisan bash; i did not mean it as such, if it offended anyone i appologize. Personally i like the fact that yesterday the president was quoted as saying he would cut any red tape that hindered these people getting help. THAT is commendable and would've almost made a supporter out of me had it been stated from day 1.
From now on i shall attempt to be more dilligent in not making blatantly generalized statements when reffering to something i have any denotation of passion about. It's apperant to me that acting like a real person on the internet when trying to make a point or quoting the news media is basicly good for nothing but a 13 page headache.
Regardless, i find it somewhat humerous that someone who grew up near lawyers had the nerve to talk to me about integrity. You and i have alot more in common than you'd probably think, FS.
Currently there are three more storms out on the atlantic. One of which being hurricane Ophelia which has been content to sit and bash the eastern shore of florida for the past few days as a tropical storm. The other two are relatively well out to sea for the moment. There's also another storm being predicted to form in the western gulf and NOAA is predicting at least another 5-6 storms between now and november.
Bottom line: nature sucks, disasters suck, and opinions are like assholes; everyone has one and most of them stink. Don't mistake an outpouring of sympathy as a cry for attention or an excuse to act like an ass just to get you pissed off as that was not my intention it was only my end result.
