They gave TP a 8.8 wtf guys go to gamespot and tell that fat fucking 360 fan boy Jeff to fuck himself! I feel he insluted the very meaning of the Zelda game no body cares what he thinks If you wanna see why I am pissed go see the video review he is one of these guys that just make me sick when they over analzye a game and think they know better then you what it should be. I will buy it to Spite him! *ok I am going to anyways* but dam its just really sad. But dont loose hope every other Game site gave it what it deserves.

Seriously, I enjoy Zelda as much as the next person, but I don't bitch when it recieves something under a perfect 10. Shit, 8.8 is still better than most.
 
ya know, games i thought deserved a higher score generally get a lower score in most reviews because they look at every aspect of it.
you just sit down and go, OOOH its another addition to a long series, its pretty, i like to play it...its a 10!!
their ratings are usually justified and correct with them putting everything into view instead of just what most people do who buy it and play it.
If you complain so much, write your own review at that site and add your score to the "You say section"

as a gamer i always read the review and check the score, then i look down at what the fans rated the game and see how it compares.
you get the best of both sides on their site and whining because your game didnt get a perfect score makes you look 9 years old.

and calling out someones weight or calling them a fanboy makes you look even dumber.
because i only see one fanboy in this situation.

what harm has this review done to you?
I am sure zelda still gets its share of the market as it is definitely one of the highlights of Wii.
I can't see any harm to it.

reviews are just somewhat a guideline.
Some reviews may see a different point of view.
And also one man's meat is another man's poison
 
Honestly, what does it matter what someone else thinks of the game? I care what I think of the game.

But I do have a comment on GS sucking.

Went two days ago to put down more money on my reservation (both for Wii and TP) and the manager asks "You wanna put that on the Wii?" And I said "No, its already paid off... I wanna pay the rest of TP off"

Manager "You dont have TP reserved... and the Wii isnt yet paid off"

Me "Wtf? I just finished paying the Wii off a few days ago, adding a bit more to TP. I should already have 40+ dollars on TP already"

Manager *questioning look*

Me *pulls out receipts*

Manager "My mistake... So you would like to pay the rest of TP? $8 please"


wtf is up with that????? 'my mistake' rofl. trying to steal my money, bishes.
 
IGN gave twilight princess a 9.5. An 8.8 is still a good score, I've been hearing a bunch of the PS3 launch titles have been getting truly horrible scores.

Edit: actually, all of the Wii launch titles I had heard about got at least a 7.5, I'd imagine it's similiar everywhere else.

wtf? 8.8 is fine. From what I've heard the game is great(storyline, gameplay, battles, and such) but the sound and some of the visuals don't even live up to the best Gamecube games (RE4, Crystal Chronicles and even Windwaker). Only negative I've heard.

Twilight Princess is the only decent Wii game I've seen reviewed. Everything else has gotten alright scores, but nothing even close to TP (Haven't seen Red Steel reviewed yet). The being said, the only PS3 release game worth a damn (Resistance: Fall of Man) is getting an average of 8-9 from most sites. Usually a little lower than TP.

But really, What does it matter? So long as you enjoy playing it.

ProTip: 8.8 is a really high score. I'm sick of all this bullshit about his review, especially considering that not only have all of the whining bitches never even played the game, but most of them are considering the review an open invitation to insult Greg for no apparent reason. Grow up and quit taking your precious video games so seriously.
 
As an interesting aside, back when I worked in the CNET Networks headquarters before I moved and started working from home, I got to see how the reviewers took all of these personal attacks. While most of the time they would just laugh it off, you could see in their faces that sometimes they got really offended. What's worse are that some people take it so far as to actually email death threats and crazy shit like that. I've seen it, and it makes me weep openly for our future that someone would send a death threat because their game ONLY got a 9.1 (can't remember which game it was off-hand, but it was unreleased and people were whining that 9.1 was too low).

People take reviews for more than they are. Sometimes, it seems, the majority of gamers forget what a review is. For your normal console game, it's some guy sitting down playing a portion of the game and writing WHAT HE/SHE THINKS, THINKS, about the game in the, in most cases, short time they played it. Just because they rate it low doesn't mean it sucks... it's purely someones opinion on the game. I've played games that were 10/10 and sucked and games, like now with PSU, that bombed in review that are absolutly amazing. Never let someone tell you what's what, that's what rental stores are for.
