WTF!? Garka mages

lol glad this opened a can of flame Q session. I'm not saying you need to stick to a certain race to be a certain job. I'm saying that equally geared + merited taru blm versus a elv, its common sense on what is better. As for halif's comments about me just loving blm... ask any member from fury how much I loved blm, or how much I bitched about being always blm. If I loved blm so much, I wouldn't have 20 mil in nin gear, and about 1.5 mil ( if that) in blm now. Reason I sold all my high q blm shit was I would come accross a taru or hume blm with the same merits and gear, and I'd be getting 100-200 less a nuke on them. Now you may wanna say I'm a numbers freak, and you're right. I'd rather focus my race towards the jobs that I'd benifit the most from. I'm not saying that my view and vision is the correct one, i'm just telling what I do and expect from my character. If you wanna be a taru mnk doing 100-300 less on asura fists, but having fun, go for it, its not for me. Yes yes we all know skill > gear and race, all i'm saying is that there is a difference between a taru + hume blm, versus a galka and elv. Is there some kick ass galka and elv blm out there, of course there is. Did SE intend for certain races to be certain jobs, yes. If they didn't intend that, we'd all have the same base stats 1-75.

Lol I don't think anyone's flaming you Q, I think that it was just pointed out that it maybe wasn't just the numbers that made you start to dislike playing blm. =P I think that always being on the same job can sour a person to it without a doubt.

I'm still trying to see how you disagree with me when SE gave diff races different base stats. If that doesn't scream this race is better suited for this job, iuno. I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm just saying thats what SE obviosly had intended.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the stats thing. I'm just disagreeing with your comments about how leveling Black Mage was a waste when you were obviously having a lot of fun with it at the time.

Point well taken, I am the greatest.

I have 1 MP merit, fuck MP. I'll get more when/if I get HNM LS. I rarely go below 300MP, and even without RDM I can finish 5 chains without any MP problems.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, give me any 75 job, I'll be one of the top at it, because this game is simple. If you have more than 1 75 job and haven't figured out the role of every other job, then you are an idiot, and well...there are plenty of those in this game.

If you are talking about who i think u are talking about then its Fortresspalman he is one hell of a Galka WHM. When he played he made sure he had that best gear that money could buy or even farm. I mean yes gear does make a difference to a degree but aside from everything i would rather have a person who has knowledge of what they are doing than someone who doesn't point said.
 
This thread sucks because it goes against Casper, the JP Galka Whitemage. Dude used to solo in sky years ago.

I found fort as a 10whm/war in ghelsba. He got me killed like 5 times that day lol. He told tales of voking in the dunes so his tank wouldn't die after running out of MP lolololol.

He didn't have the best gear, but he worked diligently to make sure he wasn't an excuse for his parties. He grinded and grinded and improved his play and gear so when he hit 75, he wasn't some level whore scrub like most people who play WHM.

BTW, where is he at, he quit before giving me my gear.
 
Just in Galka BLM defense... been burning with a few recently, they tend to hold their own, they don't cast as high as we do, but it all depends on the player I guess.
