when you supposedly 'move' a topic.. it stays in the forum that the original poster posted it in..

It just says 'Moved' in front of it.. but it still functions like a normal post that you can go to and click, etc -_-

I dont get it, i think thats retarded lol. If ur gonna move a topic, why doesnt it actually disappear from the forum that it was meant to be moved from? D:

Why doesnt it really MOVE!? ahhhh!!

lol, a thread about threads. I've never seen a thread that said "Moved" on it, but they should say "Copied to" or something. I dunno. I'm still not totally familiar with QCDN.

It really does move it.

The mod or admin who moves it has the choice to keep a link to it in the old forum, or to move it without to leave that kind of notification.

Leaving a link in the old forum serves previous posters who may be looking for that particular topic, and also graphically illustrates that the original poster couldn't be bothered to post it in the appropriate forum.

it also doesn't bump it up in the old one, it just keeps on falling behind.

That's the biggest reason right there. The moved thread link in the wrong forum will never get bumped back up. This lets the thread continue normally and not confusing visistors into thinking it was deleted.

I think you're talking about the constant moves from Gen to other boards...the reason I've started leaving the shadow in Gen is so I don't get yelled at again for deleting topics that actually weren't deleted.
